Chapter 40

5 hours and 12 minutes before I go get Kacie for this date. Saturday couldn't have come any quicker? It seems like it went from Tuesday to saturday. No Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, just skipped those days. Currently I'm at the beach still trying to set up the little wooden boarding that the table is placed on. Louis came along to help because he could read the anxiety and fear on my face when I came over to confirm some details, so he insisted helping me and sending Camille over to the flat to keep Kacie busy. So here we are, Louis and I, sitting on the chairs to see if it's all sturdy enough.

"Do you know what you're going to say?" Louis asked out of the blue, as I was watching the waves of the ocean rolling in.

"What? Oh, um, kind of? I'm scared I'll just forget all the points I want to make and mess up." I confessed.

"Well I think you'll do perfect, nobody loves her the way you do, ya know." He smiled at me. I chuckled at him as nodded.

"We should get you back to your flat so you can get ready." Louis said getting up.

"Yeah, let's get going."

No one was going to come and take the stuff because this was a privet part of the beach and I put a lot of time and money to get this part for a few hours. Louis and I got into my car and made our way to my flat. Camille took the car for the day so I have no idea what she did with Kacie. I just hope she did wore her out too much for tonight. After driving and parking, we made out way to the door. Before we opened it, there was loud music playing.

"What the.."

"Damnit Camille..." I looked at him confused and unlocked the door to see Kacie and Camille bouncing around, smiling and giggling and dancing to the loud music. I stepped in first and Louis walked over to the CD player. He turned it off without any of them noticing.

"Hey!? Lou!! What was that for?" Camille said as she stopped dancing and stared at her boyfriend.

"This isn't our flat?" Louis returned.

"Yeah, obviously. Kacie was falling asleep on me and I didn't want her sleeping. So I played some music and then forced her to dance with me and then it exculated to this." She help out open arms and Kacie came behind her and hugged her, leaning her chin on Camille's shoulder and smiling at us.

"Well I'm glad you guys had fun." I smiled making my way to the girls.

"Really Liam?" Louis laughed.

"I don't mind, they weren't causing problems so why not." Louis agreed and hugged me good bye and Camille hugged Kacie and I. The two made their way out of the flat in a giggling fit.

"They should get married, Liam."

"Who? Camille and Louis?"

"Well yeah! Were not getting married so why would it be us!" She laughed as she sat down on the bed.

"Right, well I need to shower before we go out tonight. Wanna shower with me?" I suggested.

"Might as well, I need to, too." She smiled taking my hand and following me to the bathroom.

40 minutes later, were out and laughing. I took my time to get ready and made sure I had enough time to watch my favorite girl get ready her self. I decided to go with my light blue jeans and a matching black shirt with a red flannel tied around my waist. I laid on the bed and kept my eyes on Kacie as she played with her tangled hair.

"Should I put it up or braid it?" She asked me.

"I don't care, you know I love whatever style you do." I smiled as her.

"Ugh, helpless!!!" She laughed and went with a pony tail. She didn't bother with make up because we were going to the beach. She walked over to the closet and pulled out the dress she bought Tuesday.

"Do I really have to wear this tonight...." She asked quietly.

"No, you can wear whatever you want just something a little nice." I smiled as I got off the bed and took the dress from her small hands. I caught her wrist and brought it to my lips and placed kissed on it. It was our thing, me take her wits and kiss it. It was another way for me telling her that I love her and that she's strong and a fighter. Kacie smiled up at me and leaned up to kiss my cheek.

"I love you." She smiled as she turned away and took out a cute little skater dress that was white and had flowers and cute little skulls on it. She placed it in her arm and pulled out one of her bikinis. She walked back to the bed and took off her towel and began getting dressed. I watched her dress and struggle with the top. I walked over and helped her tie it. I ended up placing kisses down her neck and shoulder, causing her to giggle and softly moan at the same time. God, the women was a creature of love and I couldn't take her anymore. Finally she was ready and it was time for us to make our way back to the beach.

The drive was quick to me but I'm sure, normal to Kacie. Why was I so nervous. The ring is in my pocket and I'm just ask scared and it feels that the ring is placing 20 pounds on my back pocket.

When we parked, and walked our way to the beach, Kacie had the biggest smile and hugged me.

"Ohh, Liam, this is so cute!" She smiled as I carried the picnic basket and the beach bag.

"Well I glad you like it, do you want to eat first or go swim?" I asked.

"Eat, I'm kinda hungry." She said as she helped me with the basket. Together we set out the meal and sat down together. The meal was fantastic, Louis and Camille took the time to make the turkey sandwiches and the pasta salad. They added some corn and a few things of chocolate covered cherries and strawberries. After our meal, we decided to relax a few before going swimming. It was about 6 or 7pm, we started the bonfire while waiting for the need to go swimming. Id have to change into my trunks because I didn't want to drive in them. Hole we waited, we cuddled by the fire on a blanket. She decided to take down her hair and have it fanned across her head. I looked down and smiled at her.

"What?" She giggled and smiled up at me.

"Nothing, I just, I love you right?" I said to her kind of serious but also not.

"Well yeah, or else you wouldn't have stayed with me all these years." She said to me sounding nervous. "Why? What's going on?" She added, definatly sounding nervous. I sighed and got to my feet, standing in front of her. She sat up and gave me confusing eyes.

'Ok here we go.' I thought. I took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes.

"Kacie, I love you. So much that I would do anything for you. You know this already. It's been a rough few years for you but you made it through and I'm so proud and happy that I could be apart of this process of life. Only thing, I want to be apart of it for eternity. Kacie I want to spend every single second with you. Nobody knows you baby the way I do, or the same why that I love you. I want to call you mine, officially. I want to wake up to you and fall asleep next to you, knowing that we promise to never leave. Basically what I'm asking, Kacie." I took another deep breath and got down on one knee and looked her in the eyes, her eyes crowded with tears and breathing was erratic.

"Kacie Michelle Thompson, will you please, please, make me the happiest human ever by marrying me?"
