Chapter 32

"Ex girlfriend?" I asked him.
"Yeah, if id known she was working here I wouldn't have brought you. I'm sorry for this, we can go if you want too." He said sounding worried.
"Liam, it's fine, I don't care for ex's I figured you had one before me. It's honestly fine." I said smiling and placing my hand over his again, just as Sophia walked up to our table with the drinks. She gave him a flirty smile and wink and then looked down at our hands. The face she had was just incredible. She turned to me and smiled.
"So, you're the new toy?" she said calmly.
"Excuse me?" I said defending myself.
"New toy, something that he will and won't care for, useless." She explained.
"I know what a toy is, and I don't think its in you job description to tell me who I can and cannot be with. So you can excuse yourself or I can and will tell your manager for this harassment." I said back, Liam hiding a smile and laugh the whole time. Sophia walked away, looking hurt and deflated.
"She's a bitch, why did you date her?" I said smiling.
"Don't worry about it, I'm just glad you're with me. That was something else Kac." He said to me laughing.

We continued conversing about anything and everything. I found out Sophia was his girlfriend for almost 14 months before she cheated on him with one of her friends brothers. She accused the brother for drugged rape or something but the brother was actually one of Liam's best mates that he grew up with. Once we got our food, we ate and giggled some more. Probably the best date I could ever be taken on.

Only problem, was that everything was perfect. Something bad was going to happen and I wasn't ready.
"Kacie? What's on your mind love?" Liam asked pulling me out of my mind.
"Nothing, just that the past few days have been close to perfect and now that I'm with you, it makes it perfect. Nothing lasts good forever, Liam." I said looking down to my now empty plate. Liam did the same thing and sighed. He pulled out his wallet to pay for the check and placed his card on the table. Sophia came by and picked it up, then returned a few minutes later to return it. I was still looming down and playing with my fingers and the hem of my dress. I heard something move and I felt my chair move. Liams hands on mine and he pulled me out of my chair. Our eyes held contact the entire time I was standing up. We walked to the door hand in hand and towards the car. We got to the car and he opened the door for me, closed it, then walked around the car and got in. I remember him turning on the car and putting my head against the window.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, shaking me awake.
"Mmm" I said.
"Were back, babe. Can you walk?" Liam said to me.
"Uhh-" I said only to be cut off by the car door slamming shut. I watched him walk around the car and to my door to open it. He placed a hand behind my lower back and the other behind the back of my legs. He pulled me out of the car and shut the door with his leg. He carried my tired body up the stairs and to the apartment door. He kicked the door with his foot and waited for a few minutes. I heard the lock come undone and the door open. I met a pair of caramel brown eyes and a beautiful smile.
"Hey guys, welcome back!" Zayn said to us as Liam walked in.
"I'm going to put her in bed, she's mentally and emotionally exhausted." I partially heard. My head was clouded and my eyes couldn't stay fully open. Someone else was talking and I felt every step Liam was taking through out the house. I rested my head on Liams shoulder and closed my eyes. I heard Liam saying something or maybe humming something. I felt my body placed onto a bed, I was guessing. My shoes were removed along with my hoodie. My dress stayed on, I felt hands under my legs and the covers were risen. My body was placed under the covers.
"Sweet dreams, Kac." I heard Liam say to me as he kissed my head.

"I love you." I heard, but it sounded like Harry.
