Chapter 36

"I just wanted to say...." Liam started.

"That it's been a really great night and that I hope we can do this more often, us all hanging out an all." He said smiling to everyone. I smiled back and agreed, along with everyone else.

"I saw movie night at Kacies next week!" Camille suggested as we all left the restaurant.

"Yeah! Movie night at your place Kac!" Zayn smiled, holding hands with Niall. Liam agreed to do it only if they brought snacks. Everyone said good bye and got into their cars. Liam helped me in and shut the door after I was in. He got in the car and started to drive home. I turned on the music so it won't be an awkward silent drive home. Just like I predicted, the drive was silent and awkward even with the music. I kept my eyes on the outside and watched the people as we drove through London. We pulled into our parking spot a few minutes later. I got out of the car and made my way to out flat.

"Kacie! Wait please?" I heard Liam call from behind. Choosing to ignore him, I continued my way to our flat. The sound of heels and dress shoes hitting the stairs, drowning out all sound in the staircase. I made it to the door and unlocked it, Liam was right behind me it seemed by the sound of panting I heard. I went to shut the door but it was stopped by his hand on the door.

"Damn it Kac, what the hell?" Liam asked panting.

"What? Nothing wrong Liam. I'm perfectly fine. Actually I'm so fine that I'm just going to leave you for the couch. Night." I said as I turned around to go to bed. Instead I felt his hand in my arm, turning me around and putting my back to the wall next to me.

"What the fuck Kac!? What did I do?" He said voice a little bit louder than before.

"What did I do? More like what are you hiding from me Liam!?" I said pushing him away from me.

"Liam you obviously lied back at the restaurant. Whatever it is you want to say, you know you can tell me right?" I said trying to sound sincere. He brought his hands to his face and mumbled something in them.

"What?" I asked again, eyebrows knitted together. Again he mumbled it into his hands.

"Liam!?" I yelled ready to storm away.

"I said not when I want to surprise you!?" He yelled back at me.

"Surprise me!? With what!" I said louder.

"That's why it's called a surprise Kacie!? For me to know and to to find out later!! Can't you just trust me for once? That's what a relationship is about! Trust Kacie, and if you don't trust me enough to not tell you then you can fucking leave!?" He yelled, face red, veins showing on his neck, finger pointing to the door. I felt my my knees get weak and eye water up.

"Li-Liam." I said choking on my own words.

"Just- Kacie go. Get some air spend the night somewhere just.... Not here please. I don't want to upset you more than you already are." He said turning around. I held back my tears and left the flat. I pulled out my phone as i went down the stairs. I don't know who to call, really, so I went to my recent calls. I got outside and took off my shoes. I hit dial and waited for the person to answer their phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Gem. Are you busy?" I asked trying not to let all my emotions out right then and there.

"No, why? You sound like you're upset? What happened?" She asked me.

"I- can you just come get me?" I said tears spilling over already.

"Yeah, I'll be there soon. Don't worry Kacie, I'll be there in 5." She said as I hung up. I sat down in the curb and pulled my knees up to my chest. I tried really heard to not cry, but I failed miserably. I heard door open and my name being called. I looked up to the streets but it was empty. I looked behind me and saw Liam running up from behind.

"Kacie wait, please don't go. I'm sorry. Come back inside." He said as I stood up from the curb, whipping my face from the given sadness he has given to me.

"Why Liam? So you can just yell at me again then kick me out." I said.

"No, please can we talk about this? I'm sorry, please just don't leave me." He said as tears started cascading down his cheeks.

"Liam." I sighed as I walked up to him. I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.

"I'm not leaving you. I could never do that to yo or myself. I love you too damn much to just leave you permanently after a pointless fight like that." I said to him, his lips quivering more.

"I know you love me. I just don't want you t-to leave me."

"I'm not I promise. I'm just going to Gemma's to talk and get advice. I promise I'll be back tonight. It's only 8:30, I'll be back by 10 ok?" I told him as I saw our shadows from behind. I heard a door open and shut.

"Kacie!? You ok?" I heard Gemma ask from behind.

"Yeah I'm better. Can you wait for me in the car? Just give me a few." I asked turning my head to her. She smiled an gave me a thumbs up, making her way back to the car.

"I love you Liam, I'll be back I promise you." I reassured him. He nodded his head and whipped his face. I stood on my toes and wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt his arms go around my waist and pull me closer. He buried his face into my neck and kissed it softly. I pulled away a little so I was face to face with him.

"I love you." I said again.

"I love you too." He replied as he leaned in a kissed me softly. I let go of him and made my way to Gemma's car.

"Call me when you're in your way home?" He called out.

"Always." I smiled back at him as I got into the car and Gemma drove off.
