Chapter 47

-Kacie's point of view-
"CHICAGO!!!" Camille yelled at the top of her lungs, not caring about others, the moment she got off the plane.
"Why are you yelling!" I laughed fixing my purse on my shoulder. I should text Liam saying I got here just fine, but it's 8pm in Chicago which means it's 2am there in England. Knowing him, he is waiting for me to text him.
"Do you think Haiden is here?" I asked Camille as we made our way through the airport to the baggage claim. She shrugged her shoulders and sighed.
"Don't know, maybe?" She said grabbing her phone from her purse. "Do you think Louis would be up?" She asked me, pulling up his contact listing in her phone.
"Um seeing how it's 2 am in England. I don't know, maybe." I replied back to her as I spotted our luggage.
"Oh, well sometimes he's up and other times he isn't." She said dialing his number. I chuckled at her as I grabbed our luggage and came back to her.
"Hey, Lou, we're here in chicago call me when you're up or whatever. Love you!" She said then hung up. "You gunna call Liam?" She asked me grabbing her suitcase. I shrugged my shoulders and together we made our way to the exit of the airport. We waited for about 5 minutes, 2 phone calls to Haiden, and about 10 text messages from both me and Camille, we were ready to find our own taxi to take us to Chicago from O'Hare.
"Kacie!! Camille!!" I heard a male voice calling from behind us. We both turned around to find ourselves watching a tall brunette man waving his hand in the air, grabbing our attention.
"Haiden!" Camille said then made her way over to him. I grabbed my suitcase and made my way over too.
"Oh my gosh, it's so good to have you back here Camille!! Mom missed you so much!" He smiled, pulling her into a hug as I stood back and giggled and these two.
"Awe, we'll have to see your mom and mine before Kacie and I go back!" She said laughing.
"Definitely." Haiden said as he looked up and smiled at me when he released Camille from his tight hug. He made his way over to me and placed his hands on my shoulders.
"Kacie, how are you?" He asked me, looking into my eyes as if I was going to lie and he could call out the truth.
"I'm ok, always could be better. I miss you, and Tristan." I stated, the mention of Tristians name is what caused Haidens smile to slip into a frown.
"What happened?" I asked him quietly, Camille getting closer and placing her hand on his shoulder.
"Tristian, he's in the hospital right now for surgery." He said softly, holding back the obvious pain and worry.
"Surgery? What happened Ad?!" Camille asked sounding even more urgent and concerned.
"Shot, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's my fault I shou-" I cut him off with a hug, knowing that feeling. That feeling of responsibility of something that you had no control over. The feeling of hurt for not being there to help. The feeling of self hate because you allowed the worst thing to happen to your loved one.
"Haiden, listen to me." I said pulling away and placing my hands on his cheeks so he could look at me. "This is not your fault. You understand me? This is not your fault. Do not beat yourself up for someone's mistake and doings. I know what it's like and it messed me up for almost 5 years. Camille and I are here for a reason and we're glad you called instead of doing this alone." I explained, emphasizing on us being here for him and not the other way around.
"We're here for you and Tristian, not to visit family or go shopping at the water tower. No, we're your support system and we'll do whatever it takes to make you feel not responsible." I said to him. "Do you understand?" He shook his head in agreement and I saw tears escaping from his eyes.
That's when Camille and I pulled him into a group hug.

A/N: sorry this seems so rushed? Idk it's like 4:15 am right now and I'm debating on going back to bed or not. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I'm really excited to get into Haiden and Tristians relationship!! If you're from Chicago you know that the crime rate here is crazy so, yeahh...

Life update: I hate my life lmao this move is fuckin me sideways because I don't know what concert tickets to buy for 5sos and 1d hasn't released texas dates yet.
