Second Person POV
You woke up cuddled up next to Castiel, his soft snores filling the room. You sat up slowly, being sure not to wake him, and leaned over the table to grab your phone. 5:42am. You stretched your arms, feeling the crack of your bones. Carefully, you sat up and walked to your room, having already taken a shower the previous night before he showed up. Him. The man you had just met who made you smile and who comforted you when he had just met you. You got dressed, putting on a blouse and a skirt and heading towards the upstairs bathroom and brushed your teeth. Normally, you would put in your contacts, but you had ran out yesterday morning. You marched down the stairs, checking the clock to see that it was 6:03. You shook Castiel awake, telling him that you had placed his now clean clothes on your bed, having put them in the washer and dryer. He nodded groggily, sitting up and stumbling up the steps.
You smiled as you watched him. He was like a kid, naive and confused. Sighing, you walked to the kitchen and placed food and water in Butch's bowl. He was wide awake when he came in, looking as if he was smiling and bounding over to you. You picked him up, kissing his head and scratching his ear, then placed him back on the ground so he could eat before you left. It was 6:20 when Cas came back down, ready to go. He smiled at you when he walked into the kitchen.
"Hello, (Y/N). How did you sleep," he asked as you pointed towards a bagel that you had prepared for him.
"Hey. I slept good, thanks for asking." You had stopped chewing your bagel to answer his question and he laughed a little at your muffled voice. "Hurry up, slowpoke. I've gotta leave in, like, five minutes." The glass plate clanked against the metal of the sink when you put it in and you went to go grab your shoes that were sitting by the front door. You saw your boyfriend's running shoes, stopping for a second and breathing in harshly. You walked away, letting out that breath, and continued to put on your heels. Cas' plate hit the sink and he copied your motions.
You smiled at him, leading him outside to your car, after you had said goodbye to Butch and locked the front door. He hopped into the passengers' side and you took off down the street. You pulled into the parking lot of the Gas N' Sip and turned to look at Castiel.
"Now, I don't know what time I'm going to be home, probably after 4, so if you're done before then, take this key." You handed him one of your house keys. He took it gingerly, placing it into his pocket. "I'll be home as soon as I possibly can and then I'll make us some dinner." Castiel shifted uncomfortably in his seat when you said 'us.' You sighed, grabbing his hand in yours. "I hope you know that you can stay as long as you need. It doesn't bother me."
"Thank you, (Y/N)," he said with a small smile in his face. You nodded back, letting go of his hand. He got out of the car, waving at you before walking into the station. You backed out of the parking space, heading towards the high school on the other side of town.
------------------------------------------
You got home to see that the door was already unlocked and that Castiel was in the kitchen, sorting through the pots and pans. He must've heard the door close because he turned to look at you with a big smile on his face. Looks like he got the job, you thought as you made your way to the fridge for a bottle of water.
"So, how'd today go," you asked him. He turned around from the hot stove, smiling at you once again.
"It was fantastic. What about you." Cas' voice trailed off at the end as he put the pot filled with water on the stove to boil.
"It was okay. Also, I thought that I said I was cooking us dinner," you replied, feigning sass.
"Well, as a guest, I thought it was rather rude of me to have you do everything. I wanted to prove that I could do things, too and that I wasn't just here to get things from you." You smiled at his response.
Castiel had finished dinner, and he was right, he could do things, too. His cooking was amazing. After you had eaten, you forced him to let you do the dishes while he went to go play in the living room with Butch. Once you were finished, you walked in to see Butch licking Cas' face maniacally and Castiel having a laughing fit. You sat down next to them and turned on the TV, enjoying the company. Butch crawled onto you and Castiel leaned back against the sofa like you were and smiled at your for the 3,000,000th time that day.
"Thank you for everything, (Y/N). I'm very grateful." You nodded at him, a huge grin plastering your face.
"Don't thank me. You're a great person and you deserve this."
