Request: You're an actress on the set of Supernatural and your older brother is deployed in the Marines while you are away filming. One day you and J2M are lounging in your trailer when you get a call from your mom saying that you brother was shot and he didn't make it. J2M help comfort you when dealing with the loss.

Life for you wasn't difficult; it never had been. You knew you were better off than most, having a loving family: mom, dad, and overprotective brother. You were also more fortunate by having one of the best jobs you could've ever asked for you. However, when you brother left for the Marines, everything felt off. You weren't there to see him go, something you regretted, and time that you knew you couldn't get back no matter how hard you tried. Despite that, your life still continued like it always had: normal and easy.

It was a busy day on set, scenes being filmed in every place possible, whether it be outside or in.  You hadn't gotten a chance to relax or to take a break at any point before dinner and that's when you and the boys were sitting in your trailer, eating and cracking jokes. You felt your phone buzz in your back pocket and pulled it to see what it was. It was your mom. She never called while you were filming. You excused yourself from the table and went to the small bathroom that was in your trailer.

"Hello," you asked, seeming as if you expecting someone other than your mom. You heard her sobs on the other end and your heart suddenly sank. "M-mom? What's wrong?"

"Y-your..." she paused for a second, trying to compose herself as she continued on. "brother was sho-shot." You instantly began to panic, tears beginning to fall down your face as you mustered up the words that you never thought that you would say.

"Is...is he d-dead?" Your heart skipped a beat at that last word as the other end of the phone went silent. "H-he is, isn't he?" You whipped the tears from your face as waited for confirmation.

"Yes." Your breath was taken. You couldn't breath as you thought about him being gone. Mason was your best friend and now you had to live the rest of your life without him. "McKinlie, I'm sorry. I'm so-sorry they couldn't save him. Just remember....he was fighting for us. For you." She started crying harder on your end as you hung up, wanting to just escape. You left yourself cry for a few minutes more, no doubt worrying the boys, until your composed yourself and were satisfied with the way you looked.

You walked out to see Jared, Jensen, and Misha all still sitting there with concerned looks on their faces. You sat back in your seat without a word and continued to eat, hoping that they would just drop it.

"McKinlie, what was the call about," Jared asked as he turned in his seat to look at you fully. You shook your head and put your food down, chewing the last bite you had taken slowly. "Do-do you not want to tell us?" It was aggravating you that he was bugging you over it, but you held it in as you went to the tiny fridge that came with the trailer and poured yourself some more iced tea.

"Kin," Jensen started to say as you slammed the fridge door, making even yourself jump. You felt tears start to form and then leaned yourself on the counter, trying to stop them from falling. You sniffled as you felt a pair of arms wrap around you. Then another. Then another. "What happened, darling."

"M-mason," you managed to say as you felt short of breath. You looked up into the first pair of eyes you could find, which were Misha's striking blue ones. "He's de-de-de-" You couldn't finish the word as you become a sobbing mess, your legs giving out as the boys held you up. Jared and Jensen let go, allowing Misha to take you over to the couch. You leaned into his chest, staining his light blue shirt with tears and snot as he comforted.

"It's okay, Kin. You'll be okay." Misha cuddled you close as he was on the verge of tears. Jared and Jensen, who were also going to cry over seeing you the way you were, rubbed your arm and leg, trying to sooth you. "He was brave. Mason was a brave kid." You pushed them all away, curling yourself up into a ball.

"He was brave! Tha-that's why he shouldn't have die-died that way," you yelled as you cried even harder. "M-mason could've easily made it home, b-bu-but he didn't." You stood up pacing around the trailer until it dawned on you. "I-I have to go hom-home. I-I can't st-stay here."

"Go," Jared said wiping his own tears. "We'll tell Singer you aren't gonna be here for a little while." You nodded, wiping away your tears as well, and bringing them all into a hug. You kissed their cheeks as you gave them sad smiles.

"Thank you guys," you said as you threw away your lunch trash and walked out, the boys following.

"It's no problem, Kin," Jared said as you locked up your trailer. 'What are friends for?"

Hi. This is pretty shitty but I kinda cried while writing it and I wanted to get it done as soon as possible because I eventually started hyperventilating. I hope you enjoy this, McKinlie. Thank for all of the requests you've sent in and how supportive you've been. You're a wonderful human <3 - Emma
