DON'T (poem)

Don't hold someone's hand,
If you dont plan to do it forever.
For abandoning hurts a million more
Than only watching and helping never.

Don't become a shoulder to cry on
If you're the reason for the same.
A broken stick brings a lot more trouble ,
In this unfair life's game.

Don't make promises that
You don't ever wish to keep.
As not seeing a dream is better than
The one that'll never reap.

Don't be bitter if you are clueless
To your acquaintance's failure days.
Heartless you are, if you disdain them,
While singing other people's praise.

Don't rejoice in days of someone's happiness,
If you forgot their restless ones.
You must not claim to be good,
If you fire bullets from guns.

Don't brag about your few achievements,
When your ballad of failure is long.
Doing a few right is not good enough,
To wipe the stains of so many wrongs.

Don't harshly criticise the amateurs,
Unless you are the best of all.
One day, you too will sigh when
It's hard to rise after a breaking fall.
