Infinity (poem)

Believe it or not,
I've been to infinity,
And it's not the place
You thought it to be.

It is full of scars,
All from it's own past,
They remain unhealed,
They are to forever last.

It has pictures of good,
Ghastly tainted by war,
It has few melodies sweet,
Amidst the songs we abhor.

It has shining galaxies born from
The death of even brighter ones.
It has those black holes too,
Always devouring innumerable suns.

But most of all it has lessons,
Too many to learn from,
But always ending the same-
'TODAY IS YOUR HOME.'

A/N: I have always wondered about space and universe as a child (i think most of us have), and i am still not sure whether i am in awe of it or terrified of it.

What about you?
