You And Me (poem)

59 10 2

You are seemingly untouchable,
But you touch my tender heart
With the slightest whisper of affection.
You feel so unapproachable
Like the sharpest stroke of an art
That may cut you on a sudden reaction.

But what you seem or feel
Is so vastly diverse
Than solitary silver coating the real gold.
No acts, no fakes, nothing reel
In the way you laugh, joke or converse,
A persona with streaks of confidence and bold.

As raw as honey, you are,
Healthy,pure and sweet
An altruist, smile-spreader, bright beauty,
An attractive heart at power,
That everyone is eager to meet,
A treasure with soulful amenity.

And i am like milk against you
Just an option, not a choice,
That gets sour, if not taken care of,
Many things go with me, that's true
But nothing of elegance and poise
Just an extra piece of aloof.

So where did your stars go wrong
To land you a place next to me,
A want next to a need,
And why would you want to come along
With me, to the sky and the sea?
A flower next to a weed.

You are better than my good,
You are best at my better,
Then why settle for minimums?
Why adjust a laugh besides a brood?
Why be a song with a stutter?
Why call it home where nothing becomes?

You and me,
We are no puzzle pieces
And we don't fit at all,
Every eye in the world can see
That you can soothe with your caresses
And i can push harder after a fall.

So turn back before it ruins you,
Turn back before you break along
Turn back while there is still a way
To return and escape this blue,
Where this nomad won't stay for long,
And you are as free as the sun's ray.

A/N: Ever felt you are not goid enough for someone? Maybe a friend? Maybe a lover? Well the feeling sucks. But life sucks more, so the feeling can take a hike to himalayas (i know i am going crazy, but I won't mind if you point it out).

Anyways,  this one has a very different rhyme scheme than my usual ones. tell me your views on it.

Lovelove ❣
