For me, it usually goes something like this:
Society, shaming, me, blaming, time for action.
Eating organised, regimented, unyielding,
No room for error, set plan, can only follow.
Results noticed, obsession increased, must do better.Strict routine, relentless, feeling like, a sentence.
Impending failure, certain, relax the boundaries, no.
Small indiscretion, disastrous, unable to reason, desolate.
Shame, blame, repeat. Results reversed, self confidence, burst.
Decision to change, abandoned, temporarily but surprisingly....Happiness resumes, inner beauty blooms.
Contentment realised, finally with opened eyes.Oh wait.......
Society, shames, me, blames - f*ck here we go again....
NO!
Enough! Lets concentrate on:
Happiness maintained, inner beauty claimed.
Contentment in place, eyes shine out of a face,
Who accepts who she is.How many of us follow this pattern? We feel the pressure to look a certain way, so we put those plans in place to achieve this. However, the strict regime cannot be sustained, so we inevitably fall off the wagon, only to then condemn ourselves for doing so. Only sometimes, we can then find we are far happier enjoying our life and not counting calories or recording how many work outs we've done in a week. Then just when we find that inner peace, boom! We feel the pressures all over again and start the same cycle. It's hard not to fall back into those ways, especially when we are constantly told this is the way to live. We should be concentrating on happiness, being a beautiful person (not because of how we look). Accepting the person we are, is far healthier than trying to change that person, to suit someone elses ideal.
