Celebrate Your Body

We come in so many shapes and sizes,
No two of us the same.
Yet we only celebrate a certain form,
When it does not reflect the majority.

For those who're less than what they say you should be,
Don't force yourself to stuff down food endlessly,
Just to comply with their supposed ideal.
Instead live healthily and enjoy your meals.

For those who're more than the perceived shape,
Don't starve yourself and eat only grapes.
Just be yourself and know your worth,
Take care of your body and look after yourself.

For all we can do with the bodies we have,
Is be kind to them and love them with all of our hearts.
We shouldn't be damaging them with diets and fads,
They give us life each day and for that we should be glad.

So many fall foul of ways to change to fit the ideal.  Whether being told their too thin, or too fat.  We shouldn't be making people feel like they have to follow fad diets or eating plans to achieve what society deems "ideal".  Sadly, the industries making money from our insecurities think nothing of exploiting them.  We need to try and remember that eating healthily for us, is what matters.  If you feel healthy and happy, then that is your ideal.   Now, if I could only always remember this!
