Regardless of size, putting your life on hold until you reach that perfect weight, does no one any good.
This will be my collection of poems reflecting on societies obsession with weight and size and the effect this has on us and how we can change...
When I hear a comment, directed at another, It makes me raise my eyebrow, if only the person delivering it was perfect. We should all be careful with our opinions, when they involve people we know nothing about. Save your judgements for your own actions, leave others to deal with their own self doubt.
It's all too easy for people to make jibes or little comments about someone elses life or appearance. None of us are completely innocent when it comes to this. We are human, after all. However, when someone judges another person solely on their appearance, I find that very wrong. Especially in such a way as to try and make them feel less of a person because of it. We all have enough self doubt, let's be the kind of people who build each other up. The world would be a much better place if we could all learn to do this.
