The saying knowledge is power, rings so true to me, each day.
I'm trying to remind myself often, remembering all I've discovered along the way.
For every lesson that I've learned, has taught me one honest simple thing,
Trying to change who you are, only causes pain to the body that you're in.Love who are, right in this moment, nurture what your body gives to you.
Be thankful for every imperfection, it sets you apart from all the rest.
Instead of trying to alter who you are, make others see the goodness already there.
Start with yourself, by aiming daily, to love the reflection at whom you often look at with despair.I'm not saying that it's easy, to give up the feeling of wanting better.
We're all bombarded with constant reminders, that our current bodies don't compare.
But once you realise this falsehood and that no one is ever perfect to themselves,
The liberation of acceptance, means you no longer have to feel so overwhelmed. This is simply everything I strive for, day after day. Some days, I achieve this feeling. Other days, not so much. It's impossible to be completely happy with who you are, when there are constant messages to imply that you should not be. However, recognising it as wrong, is the first step. After that, all we can do is try every day, to love who we are. I truly believe that it is getting easier (that may be an age thing :)) So stick in there. You are good enough now. You are you and that is simply the best thing that you can be.
