Ideal World

I often worry about the wrong things, stressing over the stuff that matters not.
Are my jeans too tight, are my arms to big, do they like me much or not a lot?
When in reality I should be concerned, with how I present myself each day,
Not with the clothes that I am wearing but with the type of person I choose to portray.

I should be kind and considerate to others, even if they don't always do the same to me.
I should never judge another's appearance, or question the person they choose to be.
I should care and love with all my heart, even although there's a chance it could be broken.
I should accept the love shown back to me, without thinking I'm not worthy due to flaws unspoken.

I love all of you, entirely and receive your love into my soul.
I accept everything you are, despite the prejudices we are told.
You are free to be yourself completely and please allow me to be the same.
If only we could have a world full of understanding, rather than one full of accusations and shame.

Yup, how many of us worry about the things that truly do not matter?  How we are as people is important.  How we treat others. These are the things that measure us as people, not our clothes or our dress size.  If only the world could measure people in this way more often, rather than placing someones worth on their aesthetics.  The world would be a much happier place.
