Regardless of size, putting your life on hold until you reach that perfect weight, does no one any good.
This will be my collection of poems reflecting on societies obsession with weight and size and the effect this has on us and how we can change...
Tell them they look beautiful, Do so with truth in your eyes.
Tell them all the things you love, Don't let them feel they are anything less.
Your words could mean the world to them, A simple gesture could change their whole day.
So tell them they look beautiful, Try and do it, to at least one person, each day.
The power of words. Just by telling someone you love their dress, you love the style of their hair or you are proud or impressed by something they have achieved recently, can literally change their whole day. Whilst I have previously written about being careful with compliments, that is in relation to complimenting when someone has changed their appearance in some way. Little words of genuine appreciation for who they are now, are worth their weight in gold. See how their face lights up when you do so, how they instantly carry themselves a little straighter. It's amazing. Spread that positivity. And not only to others, to yourself as well!
