She made a promise to herself, to stop with all the hate.
She'd give love and compliments instead, resisting habits to berate.
She'd appreciate the positives, rather than focusing on the negatives.
She'd made a promise to herself, to love all that she was.And this is a promise I make to myself every day. Sometimes I succeed. Sometimes I don't. But each day, I make the same promise. That's all I can do.
