Regardless of size, putting your life on hold until you reach that perfect weight, does no one any good.
This will be my collection of poems reflecting on societies obsession with weight and size and the effect this has on us and how we can change...
She looked with envy, all around her, Unable to see, that there was no need.
For every attribute, that she did covet, Was already there, within her reach.
So before you wish, to be like others, First appreciate, the person you are.
As the chances are, you're already someone else's wish, If you could only see, you're better by far.
It's hard not to compare yourself with others and wish to be more like them. However, in reality, there will be others who will look at you with the same wish. The things you see in them are already achievable in your own life. And you already have things that are enviable to others. Sometimes, we need to take a closer look to appreciate what we already have.
