The Night went surprisingly fast, neither of them stirred or let go of each other, they didn't want to lose each other again. Laufey came to the cells the next morning Laufey returned, grabbed Thor and to Loki’s surprise, he was thrown into the same cell as himself. "We may be known for brutality, but we know family means more than anything, you have a hour." with that the cell was locked and they were left staring at each other. It was Loki that broke the silence, he burst into tears on the floor, Thor stood and ran to his brother, falling to his knees beside him and holding him close to his chest so that Loki could be supported through this time.
He didn't know himself what emotions Loki was going through, he had seemed so bleak and emotionless before, now he seemed both mentally and physically unstable. "I promise you brother, that no matter what happens they will pay for what they have done to you" He looked down at Loki's back, he was still shirtless and trembling from the bitter cold of Jotunheim. Without trying to disturb his helpless brother on his lap he removed his shirt and gently wrapped it around Loki, being careful not to put pressure on his shoulder or back. "I love you" Loki whimpered into his brother’s hair. "It might not always seem like it, but I do. It just hurts so much"
"Shh" Thor stroked Loki's head, trying to soothe him. "It's ok Loki, I love you too. I promise I won’t let them hurt you" While saying this, Thor was forced to fight back tears, as he knew his promise may be impossible to keep up
