Waiting. Seconds. Minutes. Don't want to give away position too soon. Odin had started by talking about Loki as a young boy and how much he cherished his sons memories. Bull! All that came out of his fathers mouth was twisted, deceitful lies! Thor sat unexpectedly on the staircase and began to cry. Loki tried not to focus on his brothers acting skills and began to realise that his magic may be slightly rusty as he hadn't performed in such a long time... Whatever he remembered would have to do. More minutes passed. His eyes focused o the casket. Grinning again.

He allowed Odin's speech to come to an end before he made his move.

With a flick of his wrist the casket began to pour swamp green smoke. Thor jumped to attention as the crowds gasped in horror. He swiftly summoned his almighty Mjölnir and began to edge closer. Loki knew fairly well that Thor mustn't have been scared, even though he looked so, but yet again, Thor knew not what Loki had planned.

As Thor confronted the casket Loki let out a laugh. Loud enough for it to echo through the halls and send shivers through the masses. Thor stumbled back, almost crashing to the floor, but he rapidly regained balance and began shuffling back towards the casket. His movements were stopped by Odin's bellowing voice. "Thor, halt!" Thor didn't take his eyes off the smoking casket but he had stopped dead in his tracks. "What do you suppose I do father? This evil must be revealed, for the good of Asgard!" Odin's eyes looked weary as he tried to conjure words.

Loki could wait no longer. Excitement took hold and he summoned Jörmungandr from its depths. The serpent burst forcefully from the smoke- filled casket and soared up until it reached its full height, which was almost as high as the beam Loki was balancing on himself, Before retreating back towards solid ground. Thor obviously had not been expecting this as he had stumbled to the ground, his face pale and in shock. The crowds had begun to panic and had resorted to fleeing towards the back of the room. This couldn't do. Just as Jörmungandr's mighty head had reached to ground Loki let out another sinister laugh which stopped the whole of the great hall dead in their tracks.

Slowly, green smoke began to exude from the crevices between each and every scale. The serpent lay motionless whilst the room filled with a deadly looking green smoke.

Within seconds everything had turned silent. No screams. No noise. No sight. He allowed the smoke to continue for a while longer, this new sense of power was rushing through his veins like a drug, he wanted this moment to last.

As the smoke began to settle he flitted to where Jörmungandr had lay, the serpent was no more; sent back into the depths of the nine realms. Crouching had made his leg increasingly uncomfortable, meaning that he had to rely on his crutches more than he would have liked. As the smoke settled, the emaciated figure of Asgard's long lost son was revealed to the masses. His head was lowered but he couldn't hide his grin at the sound of horror flooding his ears.
