Kate's POV

The next time I woke up the nurse informed me that a day had passed. Weird, the last thing I remembered was giving Eric my statement. Luckily I was feeling better. I was still a bit sore but this time it didn't hurt to breath.

"Good morning sunshine" Trinity walked in smiling.

"M-morning"

My throat felt dry and scratchy, I was in desperate need of some water. Reading my mind, Trinity filled up the empty pitcher next to my bed with cold water for me. She handed me a cup and I drank it like my life depended on it.

"How are you feeling?  Your looking much better" she tells me.

"I feel better, like I could run a marathon" I joked.

"Not so fast there kiddo" she laughed.

She quickly examined me and checked my vitals.

"Blood pressure is fine. Your not in much pain, which is good. I think we can lose the heart monitor and the morphine drip" she said as she started to disconnect everything.

"You think that's a good idea? The morphine, I mean"

"Yeah. I'll just prescribe you some pain pills if your in pain. The healing serum helped a lot with the healing process so you should be fine"

"When do you think I can leave?" I asked.

She hesitated before speaking "Your not permitted to leave the infirmary until the final test tomorrow morning"

"What!" I shouted.

The sudden jerk caused a slight pain in my stomach and I flinched.

"Eric's orders"

"He can't keep me here" I said frustrated.

"Actually he can" she nodded towards the door where a armed guard stood.

"This is bullshit" I shouted again.

"Kate, you need to calm down. I'll try to talk to Eric and see what I can do. Okay?"

I nodded "Please Trinity, I need to get out of here. I miss my friends. Has anyone come to see me?"

"No, they are no permitted to. They are all confined to the dorms until after initiation"

"Great" I sighed deeply. I couldn't help feeling that everything was my fault.

"Kate, I'll talk to him"

"Thanks"

Someone cleared their throat behind us. Four he was standing by the doorway with a tray of food. As soon as the scent reached my nostrils my stomach started to go crazy.

"Good morning. Am I interrupting something?" He said sincerely.

"No, I was just checking on Kate" Trinity said before walking to the door "I'll be back in a bit"

I sat in my bed with my arms folded and pouting. Yeah, I know it's childish but I'm pissed.

"You don't look happy" he tells me.

He placed the tray on the table next to me and I had to control making a pig of myself. He brought my favorite, pancakes and bacon.

"Trinity just told me I'm not permitted to leave the infirmary until final testing" I mumbled with my mouth full.

"Yeah, Eric said it was for your own safety and the other leaders agreed. I agreed"

"Four, I need to get out of here. I feel so trapped, like I'm a prisoner"
