"Kate, I've been looking everywhere for you. The girls didn't know where you were" Damon said, out of breath.

"I was in the training room. Why, what's up?"

"Alaric wants to meet. . . Tonight at midnight"

"Where?" I asked, biting my bottom lip.

"I don't know. Four wants us to meet at his place at 11. I'll come get you before"

"Okay. I'll see you later then"

He nodded before walking away. I wonder if Alaric finally came up with a plan, that has to be why he wants to meet. I could feel my body growing uncontrollably nervous as I walked back to my apartment. What was wrong with me? I should be happy that Alaric had a plan.

When I opened the apartment door I walked in to Caroline and Jesse making out heavily on the sofa. When I say heavily I mean half their clothes were off. Something I really didn't want to see.

"Oh no!" I shrieked as I covered my eyes.

I could hear them both scramble for whatever clothing they had taken off.

"Kate, we didn't know you'd be home" Caroline said shyly.

Of course Jesse couldn't stop snickering.

"Jesse, this is not funny. I don't want to see any body parts that would scar me for life" I stormed into the bathroom.

"Stop being dramatic" Jesse snickered

"Don't you have your own apartment to do this in" I shouted at Jesse from the bathroom.

"We actually we're waiting to put on a show for you" Jesse continued to laugh.

"Jesse, stop" Caroline mumbled, clearly embarrassed.

I turned on the shower to tune out everything Jesse was babbling in the next room. He could be so immature at times. My body was sore from my workout. When I got in the shower the warm water felt soothing as it trickled down my body. I seriously needed to relax before meeting with Alaric later tonight. It better not be a waste of my time. I stood there for a while just enjoying the feeling. I didn't want to think of anything, especially Eric. It was hard though, being that we just had our third interaction in the past few months.

After showering I grabbed the current book I was reading, War of the Worlds, and went down to the dining hall to grab something to eat. I honestly just wanted to be alone, eat, and read my book. That didn't happen. Turns out Jax was even looking for me. When he spotted me in the dining hall he didn't waste any time sitting next to me.

"Kate, I feel like we need to talk"

"About what?" I asked, annoyed I was interrupted from my book.

"Last night. I don't remember much but I remember getting hot and heavy with you on the dance floor"

"We were drinking and having a good time"

"Yeah but if I said or did anything inappropriate I apologize" he said sincerely.

I placed my hand on his arm "You were a perfect gentleman. That's what I like about you"
