10 minutes and a confession later
They all stared at me in amazement, shock, something.
“You didn’t ever tell us. Why?” Danny asked
"I didn’t need to bother you all with my personal life. I mean you guys are on the verge of great successes , fans and all. I didn’t want to put a damper on all that.”
“Alexis Greenwood, you are my sister ,you idiot.”
“Don’t call me an idiot.”
“So now?” James asked.
“I’m on medication. If it goes away then well and good. If not then surgery.”
I sneaked glance at Ben. He was sitting there, silent.
“But-“ Sam started, I knew what all of them were trying to ask me but they couldn’t.. Not when everything was so….
“Are you dying?” Ben asked, sharply and frankly.
“Yes. Yes and no.”
Danny turned a strange color. He turned on Ben then.
“You knew this, didn’t you? You knew all along didn’t you? That’s why you broke it off.” He said viciously.
Ben sat silent.
“You knew it right? ANSWER ME.”
I hated to be getting in between them. They were best friend.
“Danny, Danny, DANIEL WORSNOP!” I said.
He looked at me, pissed off. “What?”
“He didn’t know.”
He sheepishly looked at Ben, who was glowering at both of us.
“I’m sorry.” I said looking at Ben.
“I have a sixty-forty chance. It depends now.”
“How can you be so strong about it?” Sam asked.
I shrugged and I felt so pitiful, like never before.
“GROUP HUG!” James said.
They all formed circle around me. All except Ben.
“They hugged me tightly.
“Ben, come on. Stop being a spoilsport.” Sam said.
“Yeah.You ruined the surprise too. You weren’t in formation.”
Ben glared at all of them in ‘Like-I-Give-A-Fuck’ look.
Then someone’s phone rang.
“Aah! Who’s is it? Who’s is it?” James screamed, right in my ear.
“Mine.” Ben said coldly.
He answered it and there was someone shouting on the other end of the line.
“Ben? Where are you guys? No party is a party without you being here. Everyone will think you’re arseholes.”
“Ah….shit.” James said.
“Bandmates!” Danny said, “Mobilize.”
I shook my head. Too much TRANSFORMERS I think.
“Where are we going again?”
