You were all alone in the house you shared with your family, so you had a wonderful idea and went for the drawer that contained your photo albums. You took out one of them and smiled, looking at pictures of you and your now husband when you first met. You were at a basketball game in high school, and appeared to be the only one among your friends who was actually there for the game, while they were there just to see what the boys were like. You rolled your eyes at their comments on how you were never going to find a boyfriend if you keep acting like that. Your mind was not focused on finding a guy in your first year of high school, and you thought to yourself that there will be no guy on that basketball court today that you were going to like. You had no idea how wrong you were.
It was like a scene from a movie, a girl arrives in high school and sees a guy she likes during a basketball game. As the players walked out onto the court you clapped, unamazed, until you saw the player with the number 3 on his jersey. He was just the type of a guy you were into, short dark hair, and by the looks of it, from this distance dark eyes too, and he had something about him that made him stand out from the rest. You listened in on your friends talking and heard them mention, out of all the guys they thought were cute, number 10 stood out to one of them. She also mentioned she heard he was the younger brother of number 3. If you were not so shy, you would have walked up to number 10 and asked if he could help you and his brother meet, but you also thought it would be too weird.
„Hey wait up." You heard someone say behind you as you were walking towards the exit after the game ended you were not sure if it was meant for you, but you stopped and turned around, only to see number 10 walking up to you. Once he reached you, he asked if you wanted to meet his brother. He said he was older then him, but somewhat of a shy guy. You smiled, thinking on how you wanted to ask him the same thing, but chickened out. So you agreed to meeting, by then you knew both of their names, Zack's brother Tyler. You waited outside the school after class, as Zack instructed you to do, and soon saw Tyler walking up to you. The two of you took a small walk and talked about anything and everything, finding out how many things you really had in common.
Later, he walked you off to your house, even though he lived pretty far away from where you lived. He shrugged it off, saying he couldn't just let you walk home alone at this hour. You smiled, kissed his cheek and went into your house. From then on, the two of you spent every minute possible together.Your smile grew as you were flipping over the pages, finishing one of the photo albums. The second one you grabbed was quite some time after you met your husband. It was the day he became that. The album rested slightly on your growing baby bump as you began tracing your fingers over the face of the man standing next to your white dress self, in a black suit. Your mind took you back again, to the day when he got down on one knee.
You had both finished school and college and your relationship was still going strong. One day Tyler told you to stay out of the flat you two share, and come back at exactly 6pm. You at first thought it was odd for him to schedule a time for you to come over, it was not something he would usually do, unless he has some surprise for you like last year, when he threw a surprise party for your birthday. Except, your birthday was two months away, what could he want now? You arrived at the flat and knocked on the door. You heard Tyler tell you to come in, and when you did the place was dark, but you could see little candles lit on the floor in two parallel lines, as if they were the road you were supposed to walk through. You called Tyler's name and he responded telling you to follow the path. So you did, and it led you from the hall to the living room.
Tyler stood at the end of the path and once you arrived in the living room he told you to turn on the light. You turned to do that, and when you turned back you saw he was standing in the middle of a heart on the floor, shaped with rose petals, and a huge bouquet of red roses was on the table. You gasped, one of your heands flying up to cover your mouth as Tyler pulled out a little black box from his pocket and got down on one knee, earning a smile from him as he began to tell you how much he loved you and how much you meant to him. Tears were already falling down your face, but you didn't even care. The love of your life was in front of you, asking you the most important question anyone could ever ask someone they love.
''Y/N Y/L/N, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" Tyler said and your smile grew even bigger, as if that was possible. You repeated your answer countless times and he put the ring on your finger. As he stood up and was face to face with you, you saw something move in the corner of your eye, and when you looked at it, you realized it was Josh, who was hiding behind the table all this time. He pulled a string on a huge pipe he was holding and golden confetti started flying out. You laughed and looked at Tyler, who didn't take his eyes off you, and you could see nothing but love in them. You leaned in and connected his lips to yours and Josh took some pics of the two of you kissing with the confetti falling around and on you. He made sure the ring was visible, as you rested your hand on Tylers cheek.
''She said YES!" Tyler later wrote under the photo when he posted it on instagram. In fact you even had it developed and kept it in a photo album, along with photos from your wedding day. You could have sworn you saw Tyler tear up a little when you began walking down the aisle, but he stands by his words that you must have been mistaken. You just love to tease him with that and it always makes you laugh. The wedding was beautiful. You had found your dream dress, after trying on a few that were close, but not exactly the way you wanted it to be. This one was perfect, just as you imagined it to be. And you also remembered how handsome Tyler looked in his suit and a white bow tie, a wide smile on his face, as you said your vows and were pronounced husband and wife. He put his hands on your back as yours wrapped around his neck and he slightly dipped you when he went in for the first kiss you two shared as Mr and Mrs Joseph.
The third photo album held the photos of you and Tyler at the hospital holding your first born son. You recalled how you told him. You tucked the note inside a egg shaped package and put the egg in a box that said 'crack me' on the inner lid. Oh, the joy on his face when he saw the note. He grabbed you and spun you around as you two were laughing. Since the baby was about to arrive, the two of you moved out of the apartment and into a house, where you decorated a beautiful nursery and all that was left was for the baby to come. Don't get me wrong here, all this time was not roses and honey. Oh no, you had your fair share of fights and arguments, even broke up a few times, which is normal in any relationship, but you only wanted to remember the biggest parts of your relationship today.
Suddenly, you felt someone's arms wrap around you, and you turned to see your husband Tyler, resting his head on your shoulder, him too taking a trip down memory lane when he saw the photographs you were looking at. He rubbed your belly slightly and you two felt your little girl kick into his hand, earning a chuckle from the both of you. Soon, you heard little feet, coming closer and you had to turn to tell your two sons to be careful not to fall running. Your firstborn is now 8 years old and Tyler and your second born son, now 6, went to get him from school. The three amazing men in your life snuggled around you as Tyler and you told them about your past, until they fell asleep and Tyler carried them to their rooms, not letting you move an inch.
After your two sons were safely in bed, Tyler came back to the living room and lifted you up and took you to your bedroom. There he put you on the bed and layed down next to you. You spent the time resting and talking, until the boys woke up from their afternoon naps and playtime was in order. You helped your eldest finish his homework and then watched from you place on the bed as your husband chased them around the room and played with them. You felt sad you couldn't do that yourself, but soon, the little princess will be born and your family will be complete. You and Tyler spent so much time trying to figure out on a name, until you found the perfect one. Remembering the past today, made you realize how lucky you are to have Tyler in your life and have him be your husband and the father of your children. With Tyler's career, Josh and your family, there was never a dull day. You wouldn't have had it any other way.
