You feel in love with his smile, with his kind heart, with his smell. You were smitten from the first moment you saw him. You always thought he was cute, but after meeting him backstage after a concert, your crush started growing. As you two spent more and more time together, you grew closer, and sooner then you you know the two of you were boyfriend and girlfriend. Charlie was so much fun to be around and you were so close to telling him you loved him, but you were the one to say that those words should only be said when you truly mean them, completely, and you didn't know if Charlie meant it as much as you did. After being together for two years, you were close to bursting out and telling him you love him regardless of if he truly feels it too. But little did you know that faith had a different plan for you. You decided to go to a party and you figured to have a good time, but then you noticed her. Charlie's ex, in a bright red dress, standing in he middle of a crowd, staring seductively at Charlie. And he noticed her too.

You could have sworn she was there just to mess with Charlie's head, since she has been doing it for a while now, telling people stuff about him, going to parties hoping he's gonna be at one of them. And she picked exactly the time he's with you, and the time you wanted to confess that you loved him. You had cupcakes prepared with "I ❤ U" spelled on them back home, but you were loosing your will to say it more and more. You wondered if maybe he still had feelings for her, if you were just a distraction. You walked up to Charlie, seeing him glancing at the skinny blonde he used to date a while before meeting you, and placed your hand on his shoulder. "Can we get out of here, please? I've had enough of this." You whispered in his ear and he looked at you, slightly worried, as he figured she's why you want to leave, and he nodded.

On your way home, you stayed silent during the whole car ride, as your mind flashed pictures from the night. You were so happy to be going out with your boyfriend, and dancing and having fun. Why the hell did it have to turn into this? This girl didn't even care probably that she ruined all your fun. She was happy she accomplished her goal. Before she arrived, Charlie was smiling, hugging you, leaving cute kisses on your cheek. Heck, you even made out a couple times, but now you were both silent, you were staring out the window at the city lights just flashing by as Charlie drove home. You didn't know this, but he would glance at you from time to time, not sure what to say to end this annoying silence that was just driving him insane. He really cared about you, and he thought you knew that, and that you didn't have to be insecure about it.
