Ever since you were a little girl, you always loved animals. In fact, the most difficult decision in your life at the time was to choose what was your favourite animal. You still remembered all the trouble your friend and you got into for taking stray cats and dogs, or any other animal you could find and feed them and take care of them in the basement of your apartment building or around the building. But you could never understand how some people could be so cruel to animals who just need some food and love, and that it's not the allergy talking. Your parents were happy you loved animals, but getting a pet was too big of a responsibility in a small apartment. So instead, you would go walk your neighbours dogs, and take care of their other animals while they were out or something, and you loved every minute of it.

Today, you were on a date with your longtime boyfriend Tyler. You two have been dating for four years now and he was finally back home from tour and you could finally spend some time together. You had breakfast at your favourite food stand and then decided to take a walk around town, fully prepared for fans to come up to him and want to take pictures. You were ok with that, your hate mail box was low, his fans generaly supported your relationship and you were happy about that. And as they would catch up to you two, you would just back away for a moment, until they were fully happy with meeting their idol.

This time, you were stopped by a pet store and you told Tyler you were going to go in and check it out, you just couldn't resist the cuteness calling you. So many different animal sounds filled your ears as you walked into the pet store. Suddenly you spotted an absolutely adorable puppy, your favourite breed. As soon as you walked up to it, it started swinging it's tail, and you felt like it wanted to jump out of it's cage and into your arms, and you wanted that, but knew you couldn't afford it. Your eyes filled with sadness, and you looked out of the window to see the group of fans around Tyler slimmed down and so you decided to walk out of the pet store.

What you didn't know was that Tyler saw you looking at the puppy and could almost feel the sadness in your eyes because you don't have enough money to buy it, and he knew you would never ask him for the money because you were not that kind of a girl and you also knew it would make you some more enemies in the fanbase. And so he decided to act like he didn't notice anything as you walked home. The next day you woke up and turned over to hug Tyler, only to realize ne wasn't in bed with you. You frowned and got out of the bed. After getting dressed, you went downstairs in search for your boyfriend. And you found him in the living room, with his hands behind his back.

''Whatcha doin'?" You asked him your head tilting as you tried to get a glimpse of the item he was holding behid his back. He chuckled and revealed it as a white box with a red ribbon on it. He said it was something to keep you company while he was away next time. Once you opened it you were shocked to see that the box contained the same puppy you were looking at yesterday while Tyler was taking pictures with fans. You looked at him with wide eyes and he laughed. You rushed towards him and gave him a hug with one hand, the other holding the puppy, and you kissed him. Suddenly you felt something wet on the corner of your lips and Tyler felt it on his too.

''Oh, so the little guy wants a kiss too?" Tyler chuckled and took the little one outside the box and lifted him up. You three spent some time cuddling and Tyler got the idea of taking a picture of you two kissing, but once again, the puppy licked you guys and Tyler captured it in the picture. You both laughed and when Tyler posted the picture on instagram he captioned it with 'Looks like he doesn't want to share Y/N with me. Jealous doggo'. You were taken by surprise with the puppy, so you had nowhere to put him to sleep, and you suggested to Tyler he sleeps with you two.

And that was what happened. The puppy slept on your right as your back was against Tyler's chest and he wrapped his arm around you, leaving sweet kisses on your cheek and neck. You wondered how did you get this lucky to have Tyler in your life, when you heard him say he was the lucky one to have you. It was like he read your mind or something. You heard about couples who are meant for each other are able to guess what the other person is feeling or thinking, but you knew that was just some mumbo jumbo, but so many times during your relationship, Tyler and you had experienced that.

''Thank you so much for buying him for me. I love you so much." You told Tyler, turning slightly to look him in the eyes. He left a small kiss on your forehead, then moved over to your nose and finally your lips, telling you just with that how much he loved you too, he didn't have to say it, you just knew. You knew with all your heart that you have found the man of your dreams from the moment you first saw him, but he still proves that thought of yours every single day. And falling asleep in his arms is the best way to end any day.
