Act 11: The Transferee

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO

-Apartment 6:10 PM-

Several months ago, in an apartment nearby, a young teenage boy had just brought his girlfriend into his apartment flat.

"It's nice of you to bring me here in your apartment." Said the girl.

"Sorry for the mess. I usually clean up when I have visitors." The boy replied.

"Haha! No worries, I've seen worse." Said the girl.

"Should I fetch you some green tea?" The boy replied. "Or... do you want something else?"

"Green tea is fine." Said the girl.

The girl waited for a few minutes for the boy to prepare the green tea, until the boy returned... with a butcher knife at hand.

"Wh-What is it that you're holding...?" Said the girl.

This is the last time that anyone has heard of Mitsuko Asanuma, a 16-year-old high school student who went missing for over a month...

Until the remains of her body were found inside the apartment that she was last seen in...

Or part of it, at least...

PRESENT DAY

-2nd Floor Hallways 7:49 AM-

In the present day, Mayuka was walking down the hallways through her class, when she heard a pair of female students talking to each other, Mayuka then went to the girls to see what all the buzz was about.

"Say, heard all the buzz about the missing student?" Said the first female student. "I think her name was... Mitsu... something..."

"You mean Mitsuko? I think she's been missing for three months." The second female student replied. "What about her?"

"You won't believe me when I say this, but..." Said the first female student. "Her body was found on an abandoned flat. Or rather... What little remains of it."

"Apparently, forensics determined that her body was chopped and cut into several pieces... and then eaten!" The first female student continued. "Some of her organs are missing as well, including her brain, heart, intestines and-"

"Enough! Enough!..." The second female student replied. "Just thinking about it is giving me nightmares of-"

"What's all the hubba about, girls?" Mayuka interjects.

Both female students were taken by surprise by Mayuka's interjection. The second one even more so.

"GYAAAAH!!! Mayu, don't scare me like that!" Said the second female student.

"Hehehe, sorry!" Mayuka replied, striking a "tehepero" gesture.

"Anyways, Erina. Why did you look so scared back there?" Mayuka continued.

"Well... You remember Mitsuko?" Said Erina, the second female student. "The girl from our class who's been missing for months?"

"Yeah, apparently, she was last seen with some guy from Himawari High." Mayuka replied. "Why'd you ask?"

"Well... I'll just let Aya here tell you..." Said Erina.

"Well, some people found Mitsuko's remains inside an old apartment flat." Aya, the first female student, added. "Her body's been cut up to pieces, and some of her organs are missing as well!"

"Oh, my God!" Mayuka replied.

"I took screenshots of the forensic pictures from news sites, wanna go se-" Said Aya.
