Act 22: The Savior

Inside the station, Yuichi searched around for the hidden passage that could lead to the Prime Altar. Eventually, he found a small room beside the railway. Inside it was a staircase.

"This could be it." Said Yuichi.

Yuichi proceeded to run to the staircase, and onto the rusty metal door to the Prime Altar. Before he gets to enter, he must say the "password" first.

"What is the password?" Said the doorkeeper.

Yuichi's response was to kick the door in anger. The kick was so strong that it caused the door's measly barrel bolt lock to detach and knock over the doorkeeper behind it. With no time to waste, Yuichi runs toward the Prime Altar.

-Prime Altar 9:02 PM-

Upon entering the door to the Prime Altar, the first thing that Yuichi saw was Shino, beaten and unconscious as she was tied up onto the cult symbol and had endured what is essentially torture at the hands of Rokuro and the cult members.

Rokuro, who was in the middle of the ceremony, was visibly exasperated. But he tried his best to confront Yuichi with a calm demeanor.

"So... what do we have here?" Said Rokuro. "Another heathen in front of me, disrupting our sacred ceremony!"

"Now, what is it that you are here for... 'my child'?" Said Rokuro.

"I'm gonna make this short and simple." Yuichi replied. "Let Shino go. Or else."

"Or else...? Or else what?!" Said Rokuro. "What can a measly little heathen do against me, the Fidei Defensor?"

"I mean, look at you! There's an entire parish of us and only one of you!" Rokuro continued.

"Then make it a fair fight... and let's just you and me." Yuichi replied.

"Ahaha! Are you an imbecile?! Of course, I-" Said Rokuro.

"Surely, one who calls himself the 'Fidei Defensor' would defend his brethren by himself..." Yuichi replied. "Am I right?"

Rokuro was silent for a few seconds.

"Haha... Ahaha... To think that I would be outsmarted by an insolent heathen like you..." Said Rokuro. "Wonderful... just wonderful..."

"But do you know who you are facing against?" Rokuro continued. "I am the man who single-handedly ordered the deaths of 98 heathens...! This girl right here being the 99th!"

"And all those sacrifices... all of them were a tribute to the Almighty!" Rokuro continued. "So that I, Rokuro Murakami, the Fidei Defensor of Deus Deorum, would become a being with power beyond all heathens!"

"Do you see now?! DO YOU SEE?! I HAVE BEHIND ME A GOD! A BEING ABOVE ALL!! THE SAVIOR!!!" Rokuro continued. "AND YOU! YOU ARE BUT A LOWLY HEATHEN WITH NO SAVIOR! NO ALMIGHTY BEHIND YOUR BACK! YOU! CANNOT FATHOM MY-"

"ENOUGH!" Shouted Yuichi.

"You're right. I don't have an Almighty... a Savior or any sort of God behind my back." Said Yuichi. "But what I do have... is a will. A will to keep on fighting for the people whom I consider a friend or an ally."

"And right now, I'm here to save that girl you have tied in that cross." Yuichi continued. "I'm here to save her from your religion of evil."

"I will be... her savior." Yuichi continued.

As Yuichi finished his speech, he instantaneously rushes toward Rokuro to hit him with the lead pipe in his hand. However, Rokuro simply blocks his attacks with his forearms, before countering with a knee to the gut. Before Yuichi could get up, Rokuro proceed to step on his back.
