Act 25: The Accident

FRIDAY

-Stadium Inside 7:41 PM-

Friday night. An NPB Pro Yakyuu baseball game was taking place between the Yomiuri Giants and the Orix Buffaloes. Fans from all over the country watch as their favorite teams face each other for the elusive pennant.

One such fan was Anna Ruth, a half-American, half-Japanese woman with a love for baseball since she was young. Anna had brown hair styled into a short bobcut, and blue eyes. She wore a purple scarf, a navy blue sweatshirt and black jeans and sneakers.

Anna carried around her a prized possession if hers, a baseball bat signed by professional baseball player and then-Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter. She used to live in New York for a time, and her precious bat was one of the gifts she received when she lived there.

A self-confessed Yomiuri Giants fan, Anna made it a ritual to watch every Giants game live on the stadium.
Whether alone or with friends, nothing can stop her passion for baseball.

"GO GIANTS! YOU CAN DO IT!!" Shouted Anna.

-Stadium Outside 8:31 PM-

The game was an intense and exhilarating showcase between the two top teams, but in the end, the Giants ended up taking the victory. Anna left the stadium happy, overjoyed that her team got the victory.

Around the same time, Jun Katsuragi was riding alongside her trusty motorcycle Ashura, she didn't care about speed limits, or any limits for that matter. She just lives to ride.

Jun was speeding along the highway, when she suddenly saw Anna crossing right in front of her. She pulled the brakes of her motorcycle the best that she could. However, it was too late, as her motorcycle had already hit Anna.

The instant that her motorcycle stopped, Jun immediately stepped off and rushed to Anna's aid.

Jun checked Anna's pulse to see if she was okay. Aside from a large wound in her left leg, Anna was otherwise fine. However, she ended up unconscious.

"Miss? Miss?" Said Jun, as she tries to wake up the unconscious Anna. "Are you okay...?"

Anna eventually regains consciousness, her head still hurting a bit from the injuries she suffered.

"Wh-What happened...?" Said Anna.

"Oh, thank goodness you're still alive." Jun replied. "For a second there, I thought..."

"H-Hey... What's going on here...?" Said Anna. "Last thing I know, I was going home from tonight's game and then..."

"Well... long story short, I lost control of my motorcycle, and accidentally hit you, and shit..." Jun replied. "I... apologize for my recklessness... Can you walk?"

"I-I'll try..." Said Anna.

Anna tries to stand up, but her leg suddenly hurt like crazy. She looked around and saw that her leg was wounded.

"Oww..." Said Anna.

"Let me take you to the hospital." Jun replied.

"No... I'll be fine... It's just..." Said Anna.

Anna tries to get up on her feet a few more times, but she simply couldn't.

"Well, you sure as hell don't look fine to me." Said Jun. "Come, let me take you there..."

Jun then gives Anna a helping hand and carried her by the shoulder. The two of them walked toward the motorcycle and rode on it.

"Wait..." Said Anna.

"What is it?" Jun replied.

Anna points at her bat, which she had dropped on the asphalt road. Jun gets off Ashura, picks it up, and returns.
