Act 66: The Encounter

Jun and Shino were led to an abandoned warehouse by Ren Hong, who told them that it was the last known place their friend Mayuka was found in.

However, after searching around looking for Mayuka for over an hour, it turns out that she was taken to the White Lion triad's gala night, taking place right now inside the Kai-En-Tai Bar & Nightclub.

With their princess in another castle, Jun and Shino prepare to make their exit and save Mayuka.

"There's only one thing to do now..." Said Jun. "Let's go to the bar, crash that party, and rescue Mayuka from-"

When suddenly...

"That is, if I'm gonna let you get away." Said a male voice.

From behind them boomed out an all-too-familiar male voice. The instant Jun heard the man's voice, she immediately knew who it was. She can never forget who that voice belongs to.

"Katsuragi... Kyukichi..." Said Jun.

It was none other than TMPD Police Superintendent, Kyukichi Katsuragi.

"I turn around my men for a while and now look what they did!" Said Kyukichi. "Some smartass bribed them an insane sum of money and bailed the two of you out, as well as that guy friend of yours."

"And just when I was about to plan my next move..." Kyukichi continued. "Ah, well. At least now I'm able to take my frustrations out... ON YOU TWO!"

"Get out of our way, Kyukichi." Said Jun. "We have something else to deal with. Don't fucking butt in."

"Didn't you hear what I said earlier?" Said Kyukichi. "I'm not about to let the two of you get away this time. Not after I learned about the many criminal offenses of your friends!"

"That girl over there beside you?" Kyukichi continued. "She committed patricide against her own father!"

"According to witnesses, she also killed a doctor, allegedly out of self-defense." Kyukichi continued. "Personally, I find the evidence rather sketchy, to say the least."

"And the blond girl that's always beside her? Oh, she ain't no saint as well!" Kyukichi continued. "Has she ever told you about that one time when she pushed two students off the balcony and into their deaths?"

"Or maybe that one time when she killed another classmate in his own house?" Kyukichi continued. "That one kept me awake for weeks..."

"But the worst offender has got to be that brown-haired guy that you always kept beside you." Kyukichi continued. "Now THAT is a rather long list. I don't even know where to-"

"YEAH, WE KNOW ALL THAT! NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Said Jun. "And you should know that as well... considering that you're 'in the game'... just like us..."

Kyukichi went silent for a while. He didn't expect Jun to know about "the game", let alone bring it up as fast as she did.

"Now that I think about it... considering the purple chokers around their necks, and how many participants they have killed before..." Kyukichi thought. "These kids may have known about this before. Hell, they may have even used it as their sole driving force... to kill all those people... Dammit...!"

"But then... maybe I can use it as an excuse to imprison them...! Or better yet, give them the death penalty!" Kyukichi continued. "Yeah... sounds about right! I get the advantage in the game AND a chance to kill them!"

Kyukichi then shifts his focus back to Shino and Jun, wearing a smug, evil-looking grin on his face.

"So... all of it is a 'game', am I right?" Said Kyukichi. "Well, then. Let me ask you a few questions."

"First of all: who told you about this 'game'?" Kyukichi continued. "Secondly: when did you start playing 'the game'?"

"And then last, but not the least: what is you reason for playing 'the game'?" Kyukichi continued.

Shino and Jun were thinking about whether or not they should answer the questions that Kyukichi has given to them.

"Should we answer his questions, Jun...?" Whispered Shino.

"Hell no. I'm not telling him anything that I fucking know." Jun replied. "And you shouldn't too..."

"B-But, he's got a gun!" Whispered Shino. "I-I mean, nothing's stopping him from-"

Suddenly, Kyukichi shoots the two of them with his service pistol. The two managed to dodge his bullets, but this only served to amuse Kyukichi even more.

"Oh, and did I mention that there's a time limit?" Said Kyukichi, walking around while twirling his service pistol carelessly. "If you don't start answering, then I start shooting!"

The two rolled a few inches away from each other, but still manage to strike some conversation.

"See? I told you!" Whispered Shino. "What are we gonna do now?"

"Got your scissors?" Jun replied.

"Yeah, but..." Whispered Shino.

"I knew it." Jun replied. "Hand it over to me, while he isn't looking."

Shino takes her scissors from her jacket pouch and slides it over to Jun, who then proceeds to catch it. She then picks up the scissors and twirls it around for a while, before shouting...

"Hey, police dick!" Said Jun.

As soon as Kyukichi glances toward Jun's direction, Jun proceeds to throw the scissors toward Kyukichi's direction. Kyukichi tries to shield his body from the scissors, but the scissor ended up stabbing his right arm, causing him to drop his pistol and writhe in pain.

"AAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!" Shouted Kyukichi, whilst clutching his right arm in immense pain. "FUCK! FUCK!! FUUUUUUUUCK!!!"

Jun proceeds to run toward Kyukichi's direction, but not before Kyukichi grab his pistol and shoots her with his left arm. Jun manages to narrowly dodge the bullet, but she still ended up getting a slight hit on her right shoulder.

Kyukichi tries to fire some more, but then realizes that he's out of bullets. This was Jun's chance, as she gets up and runs toward Kyukichi's direction once again, before eventually hitting him with a running knee lift to the face, crushing his nose into a bloody mess Jun then picks up the scissors lying around the corner and proceeds to talk to Kyukichi one last time.

"You were real fucking lucky that we were preoccupied, Kyukichi." Said Jun. "Who knows what kind of shit I could've done to you if I continued?"

"You... bitch..." Kyukichi replied. "That's against... the law..."

"What law? That same law you've been breaking and exploiting for years?" Said Jun. "The same law you abused mercilessly to turn the lives of people like us into a living hell?!"

"Mark my words, Kyukichi. The next time we see each other again, I WILL fucking kill you, no question." Jun continued. "This hatred of mine will never go away until you bite the fucking dust."

"Come, Shino. Let's get out of here." Jun continued. "We still have some more stuff to do."

Jun hand over the scissors back to Shino as they proceed to leave the warehouse for their next destination: Kai-En-Tai.

Meanwhile, Kyukichi was still reeling from the pain, whilst spouting out curses underneath his breath.

"So... turning your lives into a living hell is not enough, huh?" Said Kyukichi. " Well then, allow me to make your lives... into a goddamned purgatory!"
