Act 71: The Payoff

As Yuichi was in the middle of reflecting on him killing Evelyn Lau in cold blood, thinking about why he was feeling empty inside in spite of accomplishing something he wanted for a long, long time, a familiar voice boomed out from behind him.

"There you are..." Said a familiar voice.

Yuichi glanced to see who it was, only for it to turn out to be none other than Ren Hong. Ignoring the pain from Yuichi's assault on him earlier, h went upstairs as the Red Lions wiped oit their White opposition.

"People once told me that 'boys don't cry'." Said Ren. "Clearly, some are different than others."

"In my whole 35 years of life, I've seen hundreds of ways that someone has celebrated a kill." Ren continued. "But I don't think I've ever seen a guy kneel down and cry after killing his greatest enemy... at least until now."

"Ren..." Yuichi replied.

"Anyways, despite all that, I must say... congratulations on finally killing our greatest adversary!" Said Ren. "And with my boys rubbing out every singe one of those Whites downstairs, I can safely say that the White Lion triad is no more."

"With that, I give to you this lovely parting gift, Onodera..." Ren continued, as he suddenly pulled out a 9MM pistol and pointed it toward Yuichi's forehead. "A bullet to the head, to commemorate all the hard work and sacrifice you did for me, and for the Red Lion triad."

"What the...?!" Yuichi replied.

"Did you truly think that I'd be buddy-buddy with someone like you?!" Said Ren. "Hah! How gullible."

"Anyways, my plan has always been to bust you out of prison, hire you to dispose of Evelyn Lau..." Ren continued. "... and then kill you and leave you for dead as soon as I'm done with you!"

"And the reason why I did that..." Ren continued. "... is for a little payback, after you to something important from me less than a year ago..."

"What are you talking about?" Yuichi replied.

"Don't you remember? You cut off all the fingers in my right hand, 'dude'." Said Ren. "I had to get prosthetics just so I can use that hand again."

"I wanted a little payback... I wanted... revenge. But then... the boss also wanted to see those White Lions dead." Ren continued. "And then, after I heard you and your friend were imprisoned... I came up with a plan."

"You know the rest, I broke you and your friends out of prison, invited you into that princess' birthday party..." Ren continued. "And now that leaves us to where we are now."

"Don't get me wrong. I truly appreciate what you did for us. Well done, Onodera." Ren continued. "But now that the White Lion triad is no more, you're the one obstacle left that I must dispatch.

"Nice knowing you, Onodera... and goodbye!" Ren continued.

As Ren was about to pull the trigger, a bullet suddenly appears from out of nowhere and hits Ren in his left hand. Ren screamed out and dropped his gun, as he glances towards the bullet's direction to see who was firing at him.

"WHAT NOW?!" Said Ren.

As it turns out, the bullet came from... Jun. Who returned to the bar after rescuing Mayuka, picked up a handgun from one of the many dead Triad goons scattered around the place downstairs.

"Yuichi!" Said Jun.

"Jun..." Yuichi replied.

"Dammit! Stay out of my way, woman!" Ren interrupted, as he slowly walks toward Jun's direction.
