Act 26: The Secrets

"... Anna?" Said Jun. "What the fuck are you doing...?"

Jun's sudden appearance startled Anna, which caused her to drop the bottle of pills that she was holding at the time. The bottle was open, causing the pills to scatter all over the floor.

"K-Katsuragi...? What are you doing this late in the midnight?" Said Anna.

Jun was certain that something strange was going on with Anna. And so she decides to ask her.

"I should be the one who's fucking asking you that, Anna." Said Jun. "What are you doing with that medicine bottle?"

"L-Look, it's not what you..." Anna replied.

"And what were you doing with that bottle of antidepressants?" Said Jun.

"Please, listen to me, Katsuragi, I..." Anna replied.

"I need answers, Anna. And I need then right fucking now." Said Jun.

Anna then sighs.

"Katsuragi... I have a little confession to make..." Said Anna.

"It may not look like so, but I suffer from these spontaneous moodswings, where I suddenly turn... aggressive." Anna continued. "These moodswings can range from mild to violent everytime, and there's no telling if it'll be one or the other."

"I originally thought it was bipolar disease, but it turns out, it was something much, much worse." Anna continued. "Worse, doctors said that there was no real cure for this illness. Only prevention."

"They gave me a prescription for mood stabilizers, but even then, they can only repress the moodswings." Anna continued. "I used to not listen to what the doctors said about me, thinking that their words were full of lies... and then, that day happened."

"What day...?" Jun replied.

"That day... I can't... I can't..." Said Anna. "It still... traumatizes me to this day..."

"I... see..." Jun replied. "Do these moodswings have any sort of pattern or anything?"

"Actually... no. There's no telling when these moodswings hit me, or when they would stop." Said Anna. "It all depended on whether or not I took my dose of mood stabilizers."

"Problem is, my stabilizer pills are at home... and you know how I got myself locked out." Anna continued. "And that's why I'm here right now. I didn't mean any harm... I was just... checking if they had any mood stabilizers... Because if not..."

"If not...?" Jun replied.

"If not... then I might... I might." Said Anna.

"I'm so scared, Katsuragi... I'm very, very scared right now..." Anna continued, as tears start flowing out of her eyes. "What if... my moodswings strike and I lose control right here, right now...?"

"What if... I ended up losing... the trust of my new friends...?" Anna continued, in between sobs. "I lost a lot of friends... because of my condition... Please... don't let there be another..."

As she saw Anna crying and begging for her to not leave her behind, Jun could feel nothing but pity for her.

"I... understand now..." Said Jun. "I didn't know you were suffering through such a disease..."

"Yeah... I try to hide it by acting all happy and jovial..." Anna replied. "Only a few people know about this pain that I hide."

Jun understands Anna's pleas, but she feels that she has to correct her to some degree.

"I get where you're coming from, Anna. But still, don't fucking raid other people's medicine cabinets." Said Jun. "Especially those who you just met a few hours ago."
