Act 50: The Regret

"That Mayuka... that 'best friend' of hers..." Said Kyoko. "She... killed... my sister...!"

Yuichi's eyed widened in shock. He did not expect that Mayuka hid such secrets.

"Mayuka... killed your sister...?" Said Yuichi.

"Yes... my younger sister, to be exact..." Kyoko replied. "They were in middle school back then..."

"I never saw what happened... and I just heard rumors about it..." Kyoko continued. "But... I'll explain it with the most of what I know..."

"From what I heard... Mayuka was being bullied by my sister and her friend nonstop..." Kyoko continued. "They constantly called her various names... called her stuff like 'filthy little dyke', among others."

"Eventually... she decided to take revenge... and... pushed the two off the third floor of their school while no one was around..." Kyoko continued. "Neither of them survived... and as a result, everybody thought it was a suicide."

"Now I admit it... when my sister was alive, she was a bit of a mean and jerkish brat, even towards me." Kyoko continued. "And she was also a bully in school... I blame the influence of her friend for that..."

"But... not even she..." Kyoko continued, as tears start to flow down her face. "... Not even Reiko deserved such a cruel and barbaric death!"

"Reiko deserved a second chance! She deserved to be given a chance to change for the better!" Kyoko continued, as she began to cry. "But then Mayuka... that girl... she took Reiko's life... without any hesitation!"

Yuichi stood on one spot, frozen in shock of what he just heard.

"I can't believe it... Mayuka... is a murderer?" Said Yuichi. "This isn't real... No! I must be-"

"She's telling the truth..." A familiar voice replied.

Yuichi glances behind him and saw that Mayuka was walking behind him. Her face full of regret and sorrow.

"Mayuka..." Said Yuichi.

"That's right... I killed a pair of my classmates... back when I was in middle school... out of revenge" Mayuka replied. "But... I won't say that I'm proud of it... not in the slightest..."

"I may have had my comeuppance... but in the end... It didn't give me any kind of satisfaction." Mayuka continued. "Rather, it drove me into a train of guilt... It made me feel like a monster."

"It was... not the most pleasant experience." Mayuka continued. "And one that I wish I could forget..."

The instant Kyoko had heard Mayuka's confession, her sorrow quickly turned into anger, and hatred against the one who killed her sister.

"You..." Said Kyoko.

"I heard everything... from your confession as Nana, to your motives." Mayuka replied. "And frankly, I decided the only way to stop Nana from forcing my friend to play her stupid games... is to give her what she wants in the first place."

"Kyoko... was it? You want revenge against your sister, right?" Mayuka continued. "If so, then come after me!"

"Do anything you want to do me! Punch me... kick me... beat me up... stab me to death...!" Mayuka continued. "As long as it's to satisfy your hunger for revenge..."

"Mayuka..." Said Yuichi.

"If that's what will make you happy... Then I have no other choice." Mayuka continued. "Just as long as you never hurt my Shino... I'm fine with that."

"You... MONSTER!" Said Kyoko, as she suddenly pulls out a pocketknife that she had been hiding the whole time and runs after Mayuka.

Mayuka closes her eyes in preparation for her own demise, when suddenly...
