Act 76: The Attack

-Tasogami Demons Turf 5:58 PM-

As the sun goes down, the Gekido bosozoku gang arrive at the turf of the Tasogami Demons, bringing their motorcycles and various personal weapons with them.

The Tasogami Demons are Gekido's main rival gang. They take control of the southern Shinjuku area, while Gekido rules the north, and are distinguished by their navy blue tokko-fuku outfits.

Previous Gekido-Tasogami encounters have been noted to be incredibly violent. And Gekido's attack tonight is no exception.

Before their attack, Anego issues a challenge to the Demons' leader.

"Hey, leader! It's me, Kaname Maki of the Gekido gang." Said Anego. "You say you wanna attack our turf, then you're gonna get past us first!"

"Let's settle this here!" Anego continued.

It was then that the leader of the Tasogami Demons arrives at the scene: Yoko Kaname, Anego's sister, whom she has a recurring blood feud with.

"No need to hide your relationship with me, Maki." Said Yoko. "It's common knowledge at this point that you're my sister."

"Do I look like I give a damn, Yoko?" Anego replied. "What I do give a damn about is your challenge!"

"You and your gang have been a thorn in our sides for too long now!" Anego continued. "Let's settle this right here, right now!"

"And one last thing. We don't want a measly race through town." Anego continued. "We want an all-out gang war. That's what we came here for."

"Hah! It's 12 against 14, and yet you still talk like you're hot shit?" Said Yoko. "That's some determination there, I gotta give you that."

"I don't care! I only came here for one reason, and that is to fight!" Anego replied.

Suddenly, the two sisters' conversation was interrupted by a female voice.

"To fight? That's all you came here for?" Said a female voice. "Are you sure you're not looking for someone else?"

Out comes Setsuna Nanba. A former member of Gekido, she turned out to be a double-crosser, turning her back on the gang and joining the Tasogami Demons. Anego and the rest of Gekido have since made it their mission to take her down, if not kill her outright.

"Nanba..." Said Anego.

"Long time no see, 'Anego'..." Nanba replied. "What's with the sour face? Aren't you happy to see me again?"

"Oh, I'm happy, alright." Said Anego. "Happy with the thought of beating the shit out of you until you're laid out flat!"

"Hmph! And how would you do that exactly?" Nanba replied. "We have 14 of us and only 12 of you, just like what Yoko said!"

"Numbers mean jack shit, Nanba! What matters is the beating I'm gonna give to you!" Said Anego. "You and that bitch by your side!"

"Hmph! Bring it on!" Nanba replied.

"Oh, I will!" Said Anego. "Come on, girls! It's time to attack!"

And with those words, Anego and the rest of the Gekido gang begin their attack on the Tasogami Demons. While the attack was taking place, Anego comes across Jun and tells her about her target.

"Jun! You handle Nanba!" Said Anego. "I'll go handle the leader!"

"Got it!" Jun replied.

Jun runs toward Nanba in an attempt to attack her, while Anego goes for her sister. The rest of the delinquents go after each other with shinai (bamboo swords), brass knuckles, molotov cocktails and other weapons, while some went for more traditional mano-a-mano combat. Some of them even utilized their own motorcycles for combat, using them to ram through their enemies or surround them so they won't escape.

As the chaos was taking place, Jun runs up to Nanba and leaps off the ground as she attacks her with a flying punch. The punch hits Nanba, making her fall to the ground.

However, Nanba quickly gets up from Jun's attack. What follows is a quick exchange of attacks between the two, culminating with one of the Gekido delinquents throwing a shinai to Jun, which she proceeds to smash onto Nanba's head.

Meanwhile, Anego and Yoko are in the middle of a duel between two shinai wielders. Anego rushes toward Yoko's direction and proceeds to slash around with her shinai, while Yoko counters her attacks with her own slashes.

Suddenly, a collision between the two bamboo swords led to Anego's shinai breaking in half. She quickly throws out the broken shinai and proceeds to whip out the chain that she was using as a makeshift belt.

Anego uses the chain as a makeshift whip, smacking Yoko around several times. Yoko tries to counter Anego's chain using her shinai, only for it to wrap around the blunt part. Anego then yanks the chain, taking Yoko's shinai with it. She then throws the shinai back to Yoko like a javelin, hitting Yoko right in the forehead and knocking her down.

While Yoko was standing up, staggering from the attack, Anego quickly wraps around the chain in her right fist and delivers a solid right hook to Yoko's face.

Anego follows up with another punch with her right hand. However, Yoko evades it and retaliates by grabbing Anego's face and slamming it to the ground. Yoko the stands up and delivers a stomp to the gut to Anego.

-Police Station 6:11 PM-

While all the commotion was going on, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department were responding to a distress signal regarding the commotion happening down south.

A then-rookie officer Makoto Kazama runs up to her superior to tell him what was going on.

"Sir! Sir! A large scale gang war is taking place downtown!" Said Makoto.

"I know, Makoto. And I think I know who the culprit is." Kyukichi replied.

"You know who it is?" Said Makoto.

"Come with me to the police mobile. And quick." Kyukichi replied. "Allow me to educate you once we get there."

"Yes, sir." Said Makoto.

Makoto obliges as she and Kyukichi go to the police mobile and respond to the chaos downtown.

-Tasogami Demons Turf 6:35 PM-

The gang war had been taking place for more than half an hour at this point. Absolute bedlam is the only way to describe the scenery around the place.

Gang members beating each other, fire spreading everywhere, broken shinai, bottles and motorcycle parts surrounding the area. The entire place was in utter chaos.

Suddenly, the gang members began to hear the all-too-familiar sirens. The Tasogami Demons saw it as a chance to retreat and leave the scene in a hurry, leaving the entireity of Gekido on their own devices. Anego wanted to make chase, but had no choice but to stay lest something else happens.

Eventually, a trio of police cars arrive at the scene. The police come out with guns pointed toward the Gekido delinquents. From the middle car, out comes notorious Police Superintendent Kyukichi Katsuragi, and his rookie partner Makoto Kazama.

[music stops]

"Well, well! What do we have here?" Said Kyukichi. "A bunch of delinquents wreaking havoc all over town!"

"'Tis just a normal day for you youngsters, eh?" Kyukichi continued, as he loads up his pistol. "Too bad, I hate normal days."
