Act 53: The Retribution

-Outside the School 5:10 PM-

The school day had just ended. Shino was walking home with her best friend Mayuka, like they usually do.

However, Shino can't help but notice that something was going on with Mayuka.

"Mayu...? Is something wrong?" Said Shino.

"Oh... nothing, Shino." Mayuka replied. "It's just... you know."

"Those two..." Said Shino.

"They've been doing this for too long now!" Mayuka replied. "Why can't they just shut up and keep their thoughts to themselves, like the others do?"

"Come on, Mayu. You shouldn't let their words get the best of you..." Said Shino. "Nothing's gonna stop them from saying stuff that they want to."

"Yeah, sure. I can do that. I could just... endure the slandering that I receive from them on a daily basis..." Mayuka replied.

"But what really irks me about them is their hypocrisy!" Mayuka continued. "They pick on me because I'm a lesbian, when they themselves aren't any less touchy-feely toward each other either!"

"Well, how about just... shrug it off?" Said Shino. "Like you usually do."

"What, and let them talk shit to me, even when I'm right in front of their faces?" Mayuka replied.

"This is one thing I can't just shrug off, Shino." Mayuka continued. "Their words are starting to affect me... us, even!"

"I know... But still, just leave them alone and they'll do no harm." Said Shino.

"OK, OK, sheesh..." Mayuka replied..

Mayuka decided to keep silent around Shino's presence, but inside her mind...

"... or maybe, I should just silence them until they aren't able to speak." Mayuka thought.

"Sorry, Shino. But I'm gonna be deviating from your advice." Mayuka continued. "Just this time, I promise."

It seems as if Mayuka was planning some sort of retribution against the two students, but only she knows the real answer to that.

THE NEXT DAY

-Masuyama Middle School 6:11 PM-

Come dismissal time the next day, Mayuka was standing underneath one of the cherry blossom trees outside the campus, seemingly waiting for something... or someone.

It was then that the two haughty female students, Reiko and Chinami arrive at the same spot. After having a little chat, the two then leave for the school building.

"It's them..." Mayuka thought. "Now's my chance."

She overhears the two talking from a distance.

"So, tell me, Reiko. Where did you leave my lucky pen?" Said Chinami.

"Umm... I think it's on our room. Way up on the third floor." Reiko replied.

"OMG, Chinami. Since when have you become, like, super forgetful?" Said Chinami.

"I'm, like, sorry, okay?" Reiko replied.

Chinami then takes a long sigh.

"Fine, sure. We'll get it." Said Chinami. "But only for a minute, okay?"

Reiko and Chinami go back to the main school building to fetch Chinami's textbook. Mayuka followed them as they walk toward the school building, and patiently waited for them to get up the second floor.

-Masuyama 2nd Floor 6:13 PM-

By the time that Reiko and Chinami had reached the second floor, they began to feel a strange presence.
