Weeks went by. Obi Wan and (Y/N) bonded more and more. Their love grew stronger, and Obi Wan found he had a hard time keeping it a secret. He knew the Senate was debating whether or not to kill her. He knew there was a chance they would decide to kill her, that he might be the one to be assigned the task, but he found he simply couldn't let her go. So they continued to keep their love a secret.

Obi Wan always let her out of her cell. If the clones saw them together, he would just use the mind trick to make them think otherwise. As long as they were together, they were happy. Obi Wan had taught (Y/N) how to love. She wasn't going to let him go, not in a million years.

This went on for months. Then the Jedi Council summoned Obi Wan.

"Reached a verdict, the Senate has," Yoda said. "Killed, the berserker will be."

"Oh," was all Obi Wan could say. Mace Windu stared at him.

"You are to be her executioner," he said. Obi Wan froze.

"W-when is she scheduled to be executed," he asked.

"Right now. Come on." Obi Wan followed numbly, unable to process what he just heard. He punched in the codes for the doors when he needed to. He could barely hear the exchange between the clones and Mace Windu. Then they were in the room. Obi Wan went into the room and opened the door of the cell. (Y/N) hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. "Hey, love," she said. When she caught sight of Obi Wan's expression, she frowned. "What's wrong?" Then (Y/N) looked over Obi Wan's shoulder and saw the Jedi Council. She narrowed her eyes. "What's going on," she asked.

"Berserker, you are to be executed," Mace Windu said. (Y/N) backed up.

"No. I haven't done anything wrong," she said. "Obi Wan, what's going on?" Obi Wan just held his lightsaber. (Y/N) scowled. Obi Wan ignited his lightsaber.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. (Y/N) glared at him.

"No," she said. Obi Wan took a step forward. "No," she screamed, then she charged him. (Y/N) knocked Obi Wan's lightsaber out of his hand. It flew to the other side of the room, deactivating and skidding a couple inches. Obi Wan forgot about his lightsaber though, because (Y/N) went straight for his throat. They went down, her on top, trying to strangle him. Obi Wan defended himself. He didn't want to hurt (Y/N). She was screaming wordlessly.

"(Y/N), calm down," Obi Wan yelled. (Y/N) stopped trying to strangle him and just punched him in the face. Obi Wan cried out in pain. The rage faded from (Y/N)'s eyes, and she scrambled off of him. Obi Wan stood up, hand on his nose. Her eyes were full of fear as Mace Windu held her from behind. Obi Wan retrieved his lightsaber. "I'm sorry," he whispered, staring into (Y/N)'s eyes while igniting his lightsaber. She stared back at him, (E/C) eyes full of hate and heartbreak.

"I trusted you," she whispered. "I loved you." Obi Wan swung his lightsaber, closing his eyes. She didn't scream when she died. Obi Wan didn't cry when the deed was done. He helped carry the body to be burned, then he trained Anakin, which he hadn't done in a while. He went through his day, like normal, pretending not to be affected by the death of the woman he loved. But when he was alone in his quarters, he broke down. He hugged his pillow to his face, muffling his sobs. He cried himself to sleep that night, and every night after that.
