Anakin smiled as he read (Y/N)'s letter. He wanted to return to her so badly, but he didn't know if that was a good idea. He had hurt a lot of people when he turned, and he didn't know if he could face (Y/N) now, or if he would be putting her and their daughter in danger by being near them.

The postman handed (Y/N) a letter from Anakin. She ran into the hose and tore it open.
Dear, (Y/N),
I'm sorry, but I won't be able to come home until I know a few things. First off, does the Senate want me for murder and treason? Secondly, are Masters Yoda and Obi Wan looking for me? And third, how far from Coruscant is your planet? If the Senate is looking for me, having me with you could put you and Rane in danger. I will not allow any harm to come to either of you because of me. I'm sorry, but I love you too much to allow that to happen.
Please forgive me,
Anakin
"No," (Y/N) whispered. Tears slid down her cheeks. "Please, no." She quickly wiped away her tears. She just had a few errands to run, that's all.

Anakin watched another robin fly toward him. He held out his hand when it got close enough and read the letter it held.
Anakin,
No one is looking for you and we're several parsecs away from Coruscant. COME HOME.
Love,
(Y/N).
Anakin laughed to himself. (Y/N) was exactly the same as she was all those years ago. He guessed it was time for him to return home.
Anakin packed up all his stuff and walked to the nearest spaceport. He paid for passage to (Y/N)'s planet and settled in for the trip.
***
(Y/N) sat on the steps watching Rane. Anakin walked up to the gate and waved, smiling. His hair and clothes were slightly damp from melted ice. It was adorable. (Y/N) jumped off the steps and ran to Anakin, hugging and kissing him. At last, they could raise their daughter together like they always wanted.
