(Y/N)'s POV
"Poe, stop it. You're hurting me," I said as Poe dragged me through the hall.
"Not a chance. The moment I let you go, you're going to slaughter us with your friends in the First Order." I was surprised by the stab of hurt that spiked through me.
"Poe, that's not fair. I would never hurt you." Poe stopped and turned to look at me.
"You already have," he said. I looked at the ground, unable to say anything more. Poe sighed, and pulled me through the halls. I was silent, until he found Leia. "General," he said, "(Y/N) is a spy." Leia rose an eyebrow.
"Really," she asked. I nodded, eyes on the ground.
"The First Order will be here any minute to 'rescue' her. General Hux thinks she's in danger." A jealous look crossed his features as Poe said Hux's name. It vanished as soon as it appeared.
"We'll evacuate immediately," Leia said.
"There's no time," I whispered. At that moment, everyone in the room heard the scream of TIE fighters, and a Resistance officer burst into the room.
"The First Order is here, General." Leia scowled.
"Fight them off as long as you can," she ordered. "Poe, load (Y/N) onto a ship. Then cover us as we evacuate." Poe scowled at Leia.
"Why," he asked. "She's just a spy."
"A captured spy. We can interrogate her later." Poe rolled his eyes.
"Fine," he said coolly. "Come on." Poe yanked me out of the room, and down more halls. I didn't pay attention to where we went. I just focused on keeping my arm in its socket. Just as we were about to enter the docking bay, someone fired a blaster at Poe. He dodged quickly, and my head smacked into the wall. I saw stars. "Unhand her," I heard someone order.
"Amy," I sobbed with relief. Poe let me go, and I shot to my feet and hurried over to Amy. The action made my head spin. I tumbled forward, and Amy caught me. Poe laughed.
"That's right," he said. "As soon as I let you go, run to your boyfriend." Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. Poe continued, "How long have you two been together?" Amy glared at Poe.
"As long as we've been alive. (Y/N) is my twin sister. And you have no right to speak to her that way." Poe laughed.
"I'll speak to her any way I want. Why shouldn't I? She's a traitor. She plays with people's hearts, and breaks them, and she doesn't care."
"That's not true," I whispered.
"Isn't it," Poe asked. I turned around. He was glaring at me. I had never seen more hate in anyone's eyes before, not even Kylo Ren's. I was terrified. "That's what you did to me. You smiled. You laughed at my jokes, you kissed me, you danced with me under the stars, you acted like you loved me. And that's all it was. An act. You should be a performer. I think you would be really good at it." I took a deep breath, trying to keep myself from crying. Every word felt like a stab to the chest. I heard a blaster go off, then there was pain in my side. I screamed, and pressed my hand to the place where the bullet hit me. It came back red. I began to feel dizzy. The world grew fuzzy around the edges, and grew more fuzzy, until I was falling and the world went dark.
Poe's POV
Armitage screamed as (Y/N) fell forward. He caught her, and shot at me. It hit my arm, but I was too startled to move. I had just shot (Y/N). What had I done? Sure, she had betrayed me and broken my heart, but.... I had seen her. Underneath the First Order shell was a beautiful young woman who just wanted to live long enough to see peace. But was it real? It didn't matter. I had probably killed her.
Armitage ran after he shot me. He carried (Y/N) bridal style, her little head bobbing and her legs swinging with each step. I watched them go. Her (H/C) hair swung lightly as her brother ran. She was beautiful, even though she had betrayed me. And I still loved her.
After a while, Armitage and (Y/N) disappeared, and I started to feel pain in my shoulder. I was also dizzy. I glanced at the floor beside me. A puddle of blood had formed. I must have lost a lot of blood. I pressed my hand to my shoulder, but the pain was still almost too much to bear.
"Poe," I heard General Organa yell. She ran up to me, and I smiled at her.
"General," I whispered. "She got away."
"I know. Just.... Just don't worry. Everything will be alright." I smiled at her. Then someone helped me to my feet. I remember limping into the docking bay and climbing into a ship, then laying down on a cot while a doctor tried to heal my wounds. Then there was nothing.
(Y/N)'s POV
I woke up in my bedroom on the Supremacy. Amy was sitting on the edge of my bed, staring down at me. "You're awake," he breathed. He hugged me tightly, and I let myself cry into his shoulder. Amy pulled me closer, and placed a kiss on my forehead. "Did you love him," he asked.
"Yes," I answered. "I loved him. He hates me, though, and we could never have a real relationship, even if he did love me.
"That's not true--"
"Don't, Amy. It's the truth, and I've accepted it. Please don't make it any harder than it already is." Amy nodded, and let me go.
"Kylo Ren really likes you," he said. "He left the flowers on your table. If he asks you out, just give him a chance, okay?" I nodded.
"Okay," I said. I leaned back, and gave in to sleep.
Poe's POV
I woke up on a cot in the med bay. Finn and Rey were leaning over me, anxious. "Poe," Finn breathed. "I'm glad you're awake."
"Me too," I said, smiling. I looked at Rey. "Could you do me a favor," I asked. Rey nodded.
"Anything," she said.
"When I get better.... Could you set me up on a blind date with one of your friends?" Finn frowned.
"Poe, I'm not sure if that's a good idea--"
"Of course," Rey said. "I hope you get better soon." I sighed and leaned back.
"Thank you," I said. I closed my eyes. I heard Finn and Rey leave, then I sighed. I thought dating someone new would help me get over (Y/N). But even then, I knew I would never meet someone I loved enough to forget (Y/N).
