"Go ahead," Rey murmured to BB8. BB8 projected a map over their heads. Sam swore angrily. Rey stared at her, shocked. Sam stalked off the bridge. Rey looked at Han, who sighed. "This map's not complete. It's just a piece."
"That doesn't explain what's gotten into her," Finn said.
"Ever since Luke disappeared, people have been looking for him. Some practically their whole lives."
"Why'd he leave," Rey asked.
"He was training a new generation of Jedi. One boy, an apprentice, turned against him, destroyed it all. Luke felt responsible. He walked away from everything."
"Do you know what happened to him," Finn asked.
"There are a lot of rumors. Stories. The people who knew him best say that he went looking for the first Jedi Temple."
"The Jedi were real," Rey asked, still not quite believing it.
"I used to wonder about that myself. Thought it was a bunch of mumbo jumbo, a magical power, holding together good and evil, the dark side and the light. Crazy thing is, it's true. The Force, the Jedi, all of it. It's all true." An alarm rang, and Han messed with a couple of the switches. Finn stared at Han.
"What does any of that have to do with Sam," he asked. Han looked at Finn.
"Sam was little when it happened, about three years old, but her memory goes back a long way." Finn scowled and rolled his eyes.
"What does that mean?" Sam walked onto the bridge right after Finn asked the question. Her eyes were red from crying. Han glared at Finn, giving him a silent order to keep his mouth shut. He smiled at Sam, and she walked over to him. Han opened his arms, and Sam rested her forehead on his chest, letting Han hug her.
"Hey, kid," he said. "Are you doing okay?"
"How much did you tell them," Sam asked.
"Enough to answer some of their questions. I left the important stuff for you to tell them."
"Thanks," Sam mumbled.
"Don't mention it." Han let go of Sam, patting her on the shoulder. Sam turned to Rey and Finn.
"Sorry about that, guys," she said. "I really thought...." Sam sighed. "I hoped for so long.... And to see the map incomplete.... It was disappointing." She shook her head and laughed. Rey frowned at her, worried.
"Sam--" Then they were exiting hyperspace.
"You want my help, your getting it," Han said. "Gonna see an old friend. She'll get your droid home. This is our stop." Han and Sam piloted the ship. Rey and Finn stared out the window with BB8. Rey was speechless.
"I didn't know there was this much green in the whole galaxy," she murmured. Han and Sam flew over the green hills and landed in a hidden clearing. They landed safely, no trouble. Rey walked out of the Falcon. Sam followed Han, and Finn followed Sam.
"Hey, Solo," Finn said. "I'm not sure what we're walking into here--" Sam stiffened. Han looked at Finn.
"Did you just call me Solo?" Finn rolled his eyes.
"Sorry. Han. Mr. Solo. You should know, I'm a big deal with the Resistance. Which puts a real target on my back. Do you know if there are any conspirators here? First Order sympathizers?" Han stared at Finn.
"Listen, Big Deal, you've got another problem. Women always find out the truth." Han placed a blaster in Finn's hand. "Always." Han left the Falcon. Sam walked up to Finn.
"You know, I already know the truth," she said. Finn stared at her. "Now, can I please have my blaster back?" Finn glared at Sam.
"You cannot tell Rey," he said. Sam blinked innocently at him.
