Boba stared up at the ceiling of his bedroom. His ship was resting in a docking bay in Theed, Naboo. It was (Y/N)'s favorite city. It was where they would go when life was stressing them out too much or they just wanted to get away from everything. Now, if he wanted that, he would just have to go alone. Boba and (Y/N) had broken up a few months ago. They had fought over something stupid. Boba didn't even remember what it was. He hadn't moved on yet. He just loved (Y/N) that much.

He didn't doubt that she had moved on, though. A beautiful girl like her would have hundreds of young men flirting with her. They did when Boba and (Y/N) were together, whether or not it was obvious they were together. Boba figured (Y/N) would have to realize she deserves someone better than him. It had always been a mystery to him why she had chosen him.

In any case, Boba laid awake into the early hours of the morning. He couldn't sleep without (Y/N) beside him. He was used to holding her, (Y/N)'s head on his chest. I bet she'd be really satisfied if she knew that, Boba thought. He was trying to make himself angry with her. He did that a lot, to keep him from missing her. It never worked. Deep inside, Boba knew nothing would make him stop loving (Y/N), even meeting another woman. It didn't mean he wasn't going to try.

Boba's clock chimed at six in the morning. Boba stood up. He had a few connections in Theed. One of them told him (Y/N) was staying in the city. Boba flew to Theed, telling himself he was going to do some bounty hunting for his new employer. He got up and showered, then he got dressed and ate breakfast. Boba glanced down at his bounty hunting armor, then walked back into his bedroom to change. Who was he kidding? He knew he wasn't there to do a job for his new employer. He hadn't gotten any new jobs since (Y/N) had left him.

Boba put on a white shirt, long pants, and boots. Then he tucked his blaster into his belt and walked out of his ship. He walked around Theed for an hour or two, taking in all (Y/N)'s favorite places; the fountain, the little coffee shop by the palace, the beach house they stayed in sometimes way back when. Boba stood by the beach house for a few minutes. He had a key.... He walked down and unlocked the door. He went inside. "(Y/N)," he called. "It's me." He checked the kitchen. There were dishes in the sink, enough for one person. He walked to the bedroom. The bed was made neatly. He walked over to the dresser. There was a heart shaped locket on a silver chain. Boba opened it. Inside was a picture of (Y/N) and himself sitting at the fountain. (Y/N) was laughing, head tipped back, eyes closed, mouth open, hair shining in the sunlight. She was gorgeous. There was a note in the other side of the locket. Boba removed it from the locket and read it silently.

Boba,

This city reminds me of you. Today is May 10. I'll wait for a week more. Then I'm leaving. Find me while you can.

(Y/N)

Boba tucked the note into his pocket and ran out of the beach house. He had to find (Y/N). It was May 14. He had three days left to find (Y/N) before she left Theed and he had no chance of finding her. Boba shut and locked the door behind him and hurried to the city. Where to start?

Boba checked the coffee shop, the docking bay, the fountain, everywhere he had been with (Y/N). Finally, he headed to the square. He walked over to a bench and sat down. He needed to collect his thoughts. He needed to find (Y/N). He could wait for her in the beach house. That would seem creepy, though. Boba closed his eyes and leaned back. He was tired. He needed rest....

"Tell me, did you sail across the sun? Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded? That heaven is overrated? Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? One without a permanent scar, and did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?" Boba opened his eyes. He looked across the square and smiled. (Y/N) was sitting on a curb, playing her guitar and singing Drops of Jupiter. It was Boba's favorite song. People were putting money in her guitar case. Boba guessed that was how she was going to pay for her journey. He walked toward her as she continued to sing and play. Boba stopped when she was right in front of her. (Y/N) didn't look up. Her eyes were closed. She always got into the music when she was playing, or singing, or both. It was one of the many reasons Boba loved her. When she finished singing Drops of Jupiter, (Y/N) opened her eyes and smiled. "You found me," she said softly. Boba smiled down at her.

"I got your note," he said softly. (Y/N) scooped the money out of her guitar case, put her guitar away, tucked the money in her pocket, and stood up. She put the guitar case over her shoulder and smiled at Boba.

"Let's go to the coffee shop," she said. "We can talk there." Boba nodded. They walked side by side, all the way to the coffee shop by the palace. They ordered their drinks, then grabbed a table facing a window. (Y/N) smiled at Boba, her eyes glittering. "So," she said, "what's new?"

"I haven't gotten any new jobs. I haven't been able to sleep lately, and I've been missing you." (Y/N) laughed a little, and Boba scowled at her. "What's so funny," he asked.

"I've been pretty much the same way, only I've been singing and playing in the square to cover my trip across the galaxy."

"Where were you going to go, if I didn't find you before the seventeenth?"

"Somewhere in the Outer Rim. I don't know where exactly, just somewhere I could disappear." When they got their coffee, Boba and (Y/N) drank it silently, staring into their cups. When she finished, (Y/N) stood up. "I've got to go," she said. "I'm singing in the square all day tomorrow." (Y/N) leaned over and placed a kiss on Boba's cheek, then walked out of the coffee shop. Boba downed the rest of his coffee, then shot to his feet, throwing out his cup and hurrying out the door. He caught (Y/N) by the arm, and when she turned around, he pressed a kiss to her mouth. It was long and passionate. (Y/N) stared at him, open mouthed. Boba just grinned and said, "See you tomorrow!" Then he ran to his ship.
