Chapter 48
Team One
Elei's POV
"Are you okay now?" I asked.
Ace nodded as he simply wiped the blood trickling down from the side of his mouth.
"I should be the one asking that. I've drank too much blood from you," inilabas niya ang panyo mula sa bulsa and gently pressed it on the side of my neck. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine. A bit dizzy," kinuha ko yung panyo. "Ako na."
Umupo siya sa tabi ko at sumandal sa pader. "So where are we?"
I told him about the holes which suddenly appeared inside the resurrection room. We were too late to avoid it and ended falling down until we reached this room made of stone bricks. Sinabi ko rin sakanya na baka ganoon ang kinahinatnan ng iba.
I also told him about the 'absolute ring' na isinuot ko sakanya noong wala pa siyang malay. This helped him slowly regain his strength and power. Later on, he regained consciousness and asked for blood.
I offered mine. Hindi na siya nagsalita pa at sinunggaban ako. He must be really thirsty.
"I almost forgot you're a vampire," I confessed.
"Half-vampire," he corrected. "If I could just take their blood out of me. Being a part of their clan is disgusting."
I suddenly remembered the vampire clan teaming up with Sirenade.
"Did you know about their plan?"
"I just caught a glimpse of it. Dad-- I mean Lyre told me he was up to something big for the clan, but requires sacrifice. He asked Eros and I to help him achieve that dream for the family. By that time, there are rumors that the head of the vampire clan is planning an all-out war against Lord Hales. I confirmed it one night when I secretly heard them talking about it. I ran away and chose to fight alongside with Lord Hales."
"I just hope that I chose the right decision," he added.
"You should trust what inside here," I placed my hand on his chest. "Do what you think is right and what your heart tells you. Trust me, in the end, you'll never regret something that made you happy and satisfied even if you think it's the wrong choice."
Seconds passed when I realized what I was doing and where my hand was placed. Dali-dali ko itong binawi as I felt my face heat up.
I stood up without thinking and felt the world spinning around me. Ganito pala pag nakakagat ng bampira, nakakahilo. Good thing Ace caught me before I lose balance.
"Take it easy. Rest for a while," he commanded.
"No. I can manage. I just need a little adjusting to do," inayos ko ang tayo ko. "We need to get out of here."
He nodded and we both searched the whole room for signs of any way out. Apparently, the room has nothing inside, except for a bunch of torches hanging on the walls. Other than that, the room is pretty empty.
Ace and I tried to make our own way out by destroying the walls. Unfortunately, it seems like it has some kind of spell in it, that whatever type of attack we do, it doesn't even make a scratch on the wall.
It seemed like we were preoccupied too much that we didn't notice someone is watching us from the dark. Ace took a step forward and summoned a blade made of ice in his hand.
"Reveal yourself," calm yet there's a hint of authority in his voice.
Seconds passed and little by little we saw someone coming out from the corner. He's wearing a black cloak which makes his pale white skin seems to glow in the dark.
