Chapter 31
Haunted House

Skye’s POV
“Enjoy your stay in our haunted house, sir and ma’am,”
The arch-like door creaked and opened widely as Eros and I entered. Darkness welcomed us and the eerie and scary sound boomed inside along with the screams of other students.
Great. Really great.
“Hold to me tightly babe,” Eros said with a grin when the door shut down behind us.
“No,” I rolled my eyes but he chuckled as an answer. We walked through the hallways decorated with blood, torned portraits and such things you see in those scary movies. Oh, I bet Ice would love here. Note the sarcasm please.
So here’s the thing, we need to find our way out of this maze-like mansion. But of couse, like any other haunted houses, we would expect to be chased by ghosts, bothered by the eerie sounds, tapped by those crawling bloody hands and such. Well, they are nothing for me. I am not one of those girls who loves to cling to her boyfriend whenever she sees ghosts and shouts ‘OhMyGosh’. I’m a demon for heaven’s sake! I should be the one responsible for scaring their wit out.
Of course, I couldn’t change the fact that I hate bugs. Seriously, I fvcking hate those annoying species. Even though how many times I faced my fear of bugs, I’d still run away from them. It is such a disgrace for a demon like me to have that phobia. I mean, seriously! I could kill those monsters but I couldn’t-even a single one- kill a bug. How pathetic.
Oh wait! I almost killed one. Remember the Butterfly Queen Anastasia? Yeah, took me lots of guts just to hold her.
“They really poured their allowances for this haunted house, don’t you think?,” Eros said while examining the first stop, the chest with lots of spider webs. Ew.
We weren’t suprised when the chest opened and flashed the shimmering coins, golds and diamonds. And yeah, here’s the latest news. They are real exons, golds and even the neclaces and rings were original, decorated with rubies and swarovski stones.
“A ghost would probably come out when we take one,” I said, analyzing the way the haunted house works. It’s in my blood vessel anyway, to analyze things and figure out how would they work.
“Let’s see,” Eros pulled out one diamond ring and held my right hand. He inserted the ring in my ring finger, well yeah, that’s where you inserted the ring obviously. Then he kissed my hand.
“Can’t wait to do this in real ceremony,” he chuckled.
“You’re annoying,” I retorted back, trying to get my hand back but he held onto it and again, intertwined his hand.
“So where’s the ghost?,” we waited and just as we about to walk, a loud low sound boomed in.
“WHO DARES TO STEAL FROM MY TREASURE CHEST?!”
A minute later and we were already surrounded by ghost pirates. Eros tried to cast them off, but apparently, our abilities don’t work in here. We were nulled by the binding forces surrounded in the haunted house.
“Guess we need to run,” we dashed through the crowd of pirates, running as fast as we could.
“COME BACK HERE!”
