Chapter 21

Demi's P.O.V

I was laid up with Selena looking at the stars and enjoying the night with her.

We listened to music and just stared at the stars. We ate the snacks and just had a very chill night.

"Babe, what are you thinking about right now?"

Selena: "Us and how happy I am with you. How about you?"

"Food." I joked.

Selena: "Well, that's fantastic." She said sarcastically. We both chuckled at her response.

"Nah, I'm just kidding. I was thinking about how much I love you."

Selena: "I love you, too. Do you know what time it is?"

"Nah. I haven't opened my phone all day."

I unlocked my phone and saw that it was 8:47 p.m. Not only that, but I remembered that I had my message app open. I saw text messages from Nick last night.

Selena: "Everything okay?"

She snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Y-yeah. It's 8:47."

Selena: "Nice. I don't want this night to end."

I put my phone back down and laid back down at Selena's side.

I cuddled closer and inhaled her perfume.

Selena: "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah. I'm just thinking about some stuff."

Selena: "Anything I should be concerned about?"

"No. I don't think so."

Selena: "Alright. I'm just here to help."

"I appreciate it. Thanks, baby."

Selena: "Anything for you."

She kissed my forehead and we continued on with our night out.

Selena: "I love you."

"I know. You tell me all the time."

Selena: "I just don't want you to forget it."

"I won't. I promise." I said flashing a smile.

The later it got, I started to get drowsy. Three hours passed and I noticed Selena's eyelids were getting a little heavy. I gently shook her and she woke up.

Selena: "What time is it?"

"11:15."

Selena: "P.M? Wow. It's late."

"Yeah. That's why I woke you. Ready to leave?"

Selena: "Yeah. Let's put the snacks in the car."

We gathered our things and I had to drive home. Selena was too tired to drive. It was a long trip and I tried to stay awake myself.

We pulled into her driveway and I had put the car in park. I turned the car off and woke Selena.

"We're here."

My phone kept going off. I assumed it was Nick and he proves me right every time.

Selena: "Your phone keeps ringing. Are you gonna get that?"

My body tensed up and I started to feel nervous.

"No. I'm sure whoever it is can wait until later."

Selena: "Alright. Cool."

She sounded wide awake. I guess the nap in the car did her some good.

We got into her house and went to her room.
