Amity woke up as early as she could. She wanted to leave as soon as she can while Alexander is still asleep. She was annoyed by his presence and she wouldn't want another morning ruined for her because of him.
She walked silently outside her bedroom, the whole place was quiet. She tiptoed towards the front of his bedroom door and as she heard him snoring she gave out a sigh of relief.
Amity made her way to the kitchen and fixed herself breakfast. She thought of making food good enough for two but changed her mind. That self-centered guy who can't even deal with his dirty laundry has to learn how to fix his own breakfast. Amity smirked at the thought.
While making herself coffee and a ham and cheese sandwich she couldn't help thinking how she became suddenly brash towards someone. She grew up being taught how to be well-mannered and prim and proper. It was a first that she had acted such and it's only towards Simon's brother.
But Alexander is really unnerving. He does a very good job to upset her, and she's not okay with it. He's the first of his kind to throw nasty comments to her and she finds it unpleasantly irritating.
How can someone with good looks be so arrogant and pesky? she thought. Then she realized she'd just thought of him as good-looking. She flinched.
If they met under good circumstances she could've been soft to him. The fact that he's Simon's brother, the fact that he's dear to him, might make her treat him a bit warmer. But the way he had talked to her and scrutinized her marked him as a jerk in her eyes. She didn't like it very much.
Last night though, when she nagged him, she saw a hint of childishness in his eyes. He looked like a kid being reprimanded by his mother. It made her feel a little guilty.
Why do I have to be guilty? It was his mess! He thinks I'm a maid! How dare he! she thought furiously. Amity bit her sandwich and chew angrily.
Then she suddenly thought, what kind of relationship does he and Simon have as siblings? He couldn't be that annoying to Simon does he? And why did Simon never talked about him but only once? The thoughts bothered her. She hoped Simon were here to answer her questions.
She quickly finished eating and took a shower. She dressed herself in a black shirt with a print of Marceline's face, the vampire girl in Adventure Time along with her brown pants, put on her red chucks and tied her hair to a bun on top of her head. She switched her satchel to a backpack and headed out hastily. She breathed a sigh of relief as she walked out of the building towards Franco's. Amity was glad she didn't have to see Alexander's face during the first time of the day.
After an hour Alexander woke up from his sleep. He checked his watch and saw that it was 9 o'clock in the morning, an early time for him to wake up. He tried to sleep but his eyes were very much wide awake. Alexander took a few minutes to linger on his bed before getting up and headed to the bathroom.
He was brushing his teeth when a glimmer of what seem to be a jewelry caught his eye. He picked it up from the bathroom floor with creased eyebrows and saw that it was a necklace with a pendant of angel wings. He remembered seeing Jordin wearing it around her neck last night. Maybe she forgot about it, he thought. Then suddenly, a thought had occurred to him, and it brought a sinister smile on his lips.
