Most of the time that she was in the studio all she ever felt was to be jittery. It was not until after lunch break that she had realized her necklace was gone. She kept on looking for it in her bag, all over the studio and at the washing area, thinking that maybe she had dropped it somewhere there but she couldn't find it. She was very troubled and not entertaining the thought that she had lost the one and only prized possession she have. It was a gift from Andrei and she couldn't bear the thought of losing it.
Amity couldn't focus that much on her work and all she ever think about was to go home and find her missing necklace. Therese must've noticed her fidgeting and looked at her worriedly.
"Jordin, what's wrong? You look upset." Therese's voice was full of concern. She placed a hand on her shoulder.
"It's my necklace.. My brother gave it to me.. I think I may have lost it.." she answered, her voice cracking. Amity looked like she was about to cry.
"Did you already look around?" Therese asked her.
Amity nodded, "I did. A couple of times. I can't find it."
"Maybe you left it at home.. Stop worrying, you'll find it." Therese gave her a reassuring smile. Amity returned it with a faint one.
"I hope so. It's really unsettling." she tried to held back her tears.
"Don't worry I'll help you find it on our way home. We can check if you dropped it somewhere. Let's just hope you did left it in your place." Therese patted her shoulder and Amity nodded, she couldn't wait to leave and find it as soon as possible.
When it was time for them to leave she quickly tidied her things and hastily walked out of the studio. Therese followed her behind and she helped her look for it through the places she had passed by on her way towards the studio early this morning. They'd spent two hours looking but to no avail. Amity felt like she was going to be crazy.
"I should've paid more attention to it.. It's the only thing that binds me from my brother.. It's the only piece of him I ever have.." Amity's voice quivered.
"Jordin, don't think negatively. You haven't even searched for it in your place. Maybe you just left it there. Stop being so worrisome." Therese told her and Amity nodded in response.
"Okay I will. I just hope it's there.." Amity couldn't hide the sound of worry in her voice and Therese looked at her sympathetically. She told Therese they should go home because it will be night soon and there's no use in searching if it's dark.
Amity almost ran towards home and opened the door with force. As soon as she was inside she started searching for her necklace. She started in her room, then on the living room, the bathroom and even the kitchen. She almost turned the place upside down but she didn't find it. She was getting hopeless. Then she thought of asking Alexander if he had seen it, she went in front of his room and knocked a few times and called his name but no one answered. She opened the door of his room and found it empty, Alexander must've left and went somewhere.
Amity walked back towards the living room and staggered towards the couch. Her necklace was gone. She rested her head on her hands and didn't held back the sobs that escaped from her mouth.

"What's that you're holding?" Uno pointed the necklace held by Alexander's hand. They were in Uno's house playing billiards while slugging beer bottles.
Alexander gave him a playful grin. "Remember that girl I was telling you about? That annoying girl who lives with Simon but is alone with me right now?"
"Yeah, that Jordin girl. I know. What about?" Uno asked as he tried to hit a billiard ball to a hole with his stick.
"Well, this is hers." Alexander smirked.
Uno looked at him and his face fell. "What did you say?"
"It's hers. This dumb thing I'm holding is hers." Alexander swayed the necklace in his fingers.
"What are you going to do with that?" Uno asked him.
Alexander shrugged, "I'm going to hide it for awhile."
"What if it's important to her and she's looking for it right now? Give it back to her, Xander."
"Well it's too bad, she won't be seeing this thing for awhile. I can even throw this and she'll never know." Alexander laughed.
"Alexander you are so childish!" Uno told him with disapproval on his face. "What did she ever do to you that's so mean to make you do that to her?! She's just a girl!" he added in a reprimanding tone.
"You think she's a nice girl? Wait 'til you meet her! She's a beast!"
"A girl wouldn't behave that way if she weren't provoked by a schmuck!"
Uno's words struck him. Was he being a schmuck? He's just tripping.
"I'm just tripping." Alexander voiced out loud.
"Until when? You have to stop this silly thing, Xander. It's not good." Uno pointed a finger at him.
"I know. I'll just hide it from her for a couple of days, I swear I'll give it back. I just want her to feel a little upset so she could leave me alone." Alexander reasoned out to his best friend.
Uno looked at him hopelessly, "That's not right, man. She's still a girl. How can you do that to a girl?" he told Alexander with an accusing tone.
"Trust me, man. I'll give this back. Just let me have my revenge. I swear I'll return this to her."
Uno gave him a disappointed look, "Don't tell me I didn't warn you."
