She'd been inside that cubicle for sometime now, from the moment she stepped inside until now her tears won't stop falling from her eyes. She silently wept as she hears several females went in and out of the restroom while she cries. She wouldn't want someone to see her looking pitiful, crying inside a small space inside a restroom looking distraught in her beautiful dress. The memory of her conversation with Simon awhile ago brought a sharp like pain on her chest once again and it made her cry more. He had told her three things that killed her tonight. He'd gotten back with Mia, he loves Mia, and he only sees her as a little baby sister. With those words Simon had killed her. And she doesn't know if she can stand with her two feet again.
She knows she's a hypocrite, but she also thought there's no harm in trying. And what about now? When the truth came on smashing at her face? What can she do now? The answer scared her. Nothing. Goodbye Simon, hello pain, congratulations Mia. She was defeated and ashamed. And she even cried in front of him! Oh how pitiful! He might think of her that way right now. Stupid, stupid, Amity. Poor, Amity. Those thoughts brought here more heartaches and she sobbed.
Amity stopped when she heard someone went inside the restroom. She quieted herself and waited for the person to go out, but after a few minutes the person who came in didn't. Amity waited for another minute and still the person who came in is still inside. She told herself that as soon as the person who came in went out of the restroom she'll dry her tears and fixed herself up. But she can't do it because the one who came in hasn't come out yet.
I can't stay here any longer, they might be waiting for me. She took a few sheets of toilet paper inside the cubicle and wiped her eyes and her cheeks and she hoped that at least somehow she had dried her eyes before she could take a look at the restroom's mirror and retouch her make up. She doesn't want whoever it is outside her cubicle see her damp face. When she had made sure she at least dried her face, she slowly opened the door of the cubicle and went out. And the face that she saw as she came out really made her froze.
It was Mia.
They stared at each other for awhile, with her looking devastated, and Mia looking like she's holding her rage in control. Mia couldn't help not to raise an eyebrow though, and it made Amity feel more little of herself.
"Why are you crying." Mia asked her, expressionless.
"It's none of your business." Amity answered, she tried not to croak.
Mia scoffed, "Simon already told you didn't he?" Amity just kept her mouth shut. "Cat got your tongue?" Mia added, "Is that the reason why you're crying? Are you shedding tears because of Simon?" She pressed her.
"What the hell do you care?" Amity spat.
Mia let out a mocking laugh, "I care because Simon is my boyfriend. He's mine. And I don't like the sight of you hovering around him like he's some kind of your property. I don't want to see you any where near him. I want you to stay away from him." Mia's voice slithered in her ears.
Amity couldn't say a thing, she just decided to walk right past Mia and leave but the latter grabbed her wrist and stopped her.
"Where do you think you're going? I'm not finished talking with you yet."
Amity wriggled her arm and Mia let go of her wrist. She turned her attention back towards Mia. "You can have him all you want, but you can't just make me leave him. Simon and I live under the same roof, and you can't do anything about it. All you can do is suck it up. But don't worry, Simon is all yours."
Mia looked at her furiously and Amity felt it bore right through her skin. "Simon couldn't ask you to leave so I'm asking you a favor. Leave and tell him it's your will."
Amity laughed sarcastically, "And who are you to tell me that? Not because you and Simon had gotten back together doesn't mean you can boss me around and push me away. You're pathetic."
"How could you.." Mia tried to slap her but she stopped her hand and gripped it tightly.
"Try to slap me again and it would be my fist hitting your pretty face." Amity threatened.
"What did Simon see in you? A wild stray.. With no manners at all.. Look at you, you really don't deserve him at all.." Mia mocked her.
Amity let go of Mia's hand. "You don't know a single thing about me."
"Oh yes, I think I can perfectly read you right now." Mia told her, "A stray hoping that the prince who once saved her will love her and gave her his riches." Mia smirked, "That sounds like a good plan huh, Jordin?"
Amity clenched her fist. Who the hell is she to talk to her like this? If she only knew, she's ten times richer than her and Simon could ever be.
"I'm right am I? Oh my.." Mia smirked. "Stay away from Simon. That's my last warning." She told her and walked past her hitting her shoulders. Amity was left standing with her hands balled up into fists.
