It was past nine o'clock in the evening when Amity reached Simon's condo unit. She was about to turn the knob and open the door when she heard voices inside. Her eyebrows creased and she roughly opened the door and stormed inside.

In the living room were Alexander and three other people, one guy and two girls. Alexander was seated on the couch beside a girl wearing a skimpy, fitted, red tube dress and peep toe wedges with high heels. The girl has long, straight, jet black hair and wearing a heavy make up. She was leaning at Alexander whispering something in his ear that made him laugh and the girl rubbed his nape in a sensual way. The other two were seated in front of them and looked a little bit awkward, she noticed that the other girl looked a little bored.

It was as if they didn't notice her arrival and so she had to let out a fake cough, all of them looked at her then. Amity tried to look diplomatic.

"What are you doing?" She asked Alexander with an indifferent expression on her face.

"Oh! You're here!" Alexander exclaimed, the sound of being tipsy is obvious in his voice. "This is the girl I was talking about a while ago. The overbearing, Jordin!" He motioned a hand towards her as he introduced her to his friends. The girl sitting beside him looked at her from head to foot with a raised eyebrow and smirked.

"Is she a hippie or something? Look at the clothes she's wearing. Did she bought that in a surplus store?" The girl asked Alexander in a mocking tone. Alexander shrugged and then smirked.

Amity's blood boil but she tried to suppress the rage that was threatening to explode within her. She will not give Alexander the benefit of seeing her looking annoyed.

"I asked you what are you doing?" She repeated her question flatly.

Alexander looked at her with creased eyebrows. "Isn't it obvious? I'm having a drink with my friends."

"I know you're having a drink with your friends. I just hope you realize that it's getting late. You have to be considerate to other people living here. If you can't lower your voice down then I suggest you have your drinking session elsewhere." Amity told him with no enthusiasm on her face.

"Uh, yeah, I think we should go." The girl seating with the other guy opposite Alexander's butted in. She held the other guy's hand as if they were about to stand and leave.

"Yeah dude it's getting late, we should go." The guy told Alexander then at her, "Sorry for the nuisance, Jordin." He smiled at her with apologetic eyes.

"Wait!" Alexander shouted. "What the hell, man? We ain't finished drinking yet." He told the guy as he stand then turned to Amity. "What the hell is your problem?"

"Hey dude stop it." The other guy held Alexander in the arm and he shoved it away.

"No, Uno! She has to hear this!" Alexander bellowed. "You.." Alexander pointed a finger at her, "Who do you think you are huh? How dare you embarrass me in front of my friends and act as if this is also your home? Don't you know? I can kick you out of here anytime I want to, anyway I want to. So if you don't want that to happen you might as well back off and mind your own business." He hissed.

Amity was momentarily stunned. Suddenly she lost her bearing and felt uneasy as all of them had their gaze on her.

"I'm just saying--"

"I don't care what you're saying, Jordin!" Alexander cut her off. "What are you trying to prove?! You're righteousness?! Screw that shit! You're such a hypocrite!"

Amity was rattled by Alexander's words but still tried to stand in posture. She hadn't realized her hands were fidgeting.

"This is your brother's home. He will not like it once he knew what you're doing with the place." Amity told him and tried not to stutter.
