Within the past few days Quinn paid her constant visits. He's always at their villa and the two of them would roam in the gardens and talk about a lot of things, like they're catching up to compensate the times they've lost since they've been away from each other for far too long.

Amity eventually admits to herself that within those days she'd been with Quinn, she came to realize that he's a good man. He's well-mannered, a gentleman and he can easily make her laugh. There was never a dull moment between the two of them everytime they're together. He would tell her stories and jokes that would make her laugh so hard and it makes her feel good. His company somehow helped her to be distracted from always remembering Simon and everything and everyone she had left in the city that she had learned to love and deeply miss.

There are times when she'll just look at him and think that maybe, it wouldn't be that bad if they would end up with each other. Quinn would be a perfect husband. He's handsome, smart, and responsible. Industrious even. What more could she ask for?

They're sitting in the marbled garden set surrounded by her mother's rose bushes having tea during that afternoon when Quinn suggested they should have a walk and she agreed. He offered his arm and they started walking. Quinn's too nice and she likes that about him. But still, it isn't enough. It's still early to tell if she likes him just like how she likes Simon because in her heart it's still him. She still hasn't forgotten everything about him. Every single day she still thinks of him. She longs for him and she couldn't do anything.

Then all of a sudden the thought of Alexander entered her head. She finds in herself that she misses him too. There are times when she wakes up feeling like she's still in Simon's condo unit expecting that Alexander would come knocking on her bedroom door telling her he already made breakfast only to realize that she's back in the mansion and in her own bedroom. She misses him every time she eats during meal times. She misses how he cooks delicious foods and the unending conversation they always had as they share a meal. They had a bad start, but Alexander became a good friend to her eventually. And comparing to Simon, he was always there for her. Simon sometimes forgot about her when Mia showed up, and it was Alexander who stayed and took care of her.

Xander, I hope you're doing okay.. She thought to herself.

"You seem preoccupied."

Amity turns her head to Quinn. "No I'm not." She answered him.

"I was asking if you're free this coming weekend and you didn't respond." He chuckles.

"O-Oh. I'm sorry." Amity tells him feeling a bit embarrassed. "I must have spaced out. I'm sorry."

Quinn grins at her. "It's okay." Amity smiled at him and afterwards realized that they were heading towards her secret garden.

"Are we going to play in our secret hideout?" She joked.

"Uhm, we'll see." Quinn shrugged then a corner of his lip twitched into a grin.

Amity lightly punched him in the chest. "Silly. We're both grown ups for that." Quinn laughed and they went silent for awhile.

"Amity.."

"Yes, Quinn?"

"I haven't told you this yet but.. I'm sorry for what happened to Andrei.."

Amity looks at him and saw him looking at her with doleful eyes. She gave him a half-smile.

"Do you miss him?" Quinn asked her.

"I always do.." She felt her tears started to well up in her eyes. "How much do you know Andrei?"

"Well, I was more closer to you. That we both know. Andrei and I didn't bond that much, but there are a few occasions that we talked."

Amity became intrigued. "About what?"

"You're brother is a smart, ambitious kid back then. He dreams of having a huge business empire he told me. He even asked me to become his business partner someday. He's already aware that in the future, the two of us will run each of our family's businesses and suggested that we have to merge." Quinn smiled as he remembers. "We were only seven then." He shook his head.

"He would've really done that." Amity smiled and Quinn looked at her thoughtfully.

"That day we made a promise to each other I talked to Andrei. I thought it would be proper if I'll tell him that I plan on marrying you when we grow up. And you want to know what he said to me?"

"What?"

"He looked at me straight in the eye and said, 'Quinn, as long as you promise that you'll take care of my sister and that you'll never hurt her I will not oppose to your plan. As long as you'll make her happy it's fine with me. I trust you.' And then after that he asked me to play Monopoly." He chuckled.

Amity couldn't help not to smile. "If only you have known him more. He's nice."

"I know." Quinn looked at her and smiled. "Well, here we go."

Amity didn't realize they were already in front of her secret garden's wooden door. Quinn opens it for her and they went inside. As soon as she reached the fountain Quinn tugged her hand. She turned around the same time Quinn knelt down on his knees.

"Quinn, what are you--"

Quinn took her hand. "I know it's our parents who wanted us to get married. But I want to ask this for myself." Amity felt her heart started beating fast. Quinn took something in his pocket and as soon as she saw it she already knew what's coming. He looks deeply in her eyes and spoke the words.

"Amity, will you marry me?"
