Alexander opened his eyes, he was woken up by the sound of someone shrieking in delight coming from the living room. He looked at his clock that showed it was 9 o'clock in the morning. He rubbed his temples and he felt a little dizzy as he slowly rose from his bed, he had only slept for four hours and it gave him a little headache even. He wondered about what's the commotion and so he went outside of his room and walked towards the living room. Alexander saw Amity holding post cards and wearing a black beret and a checkered brown scarf around her neck.

"Simon it's beautiful!" Amity looked at the post cards in amazement.

"It is.. London is a beautiful place. Lots of sights to see. Too bad I didn't bring you there, but I promise next time you will come with me." Simon smiled to Amity.

"Really?! Yay!" Amity reached for Simon and gave him a hug. They were sitting on a couch. "Thanks for all of these.."

Alexander stood there frozen as he watched the two talking happily and with smiles on their faces. It was Amity who saw him standing a few feet away and she quickly removed her embrace from Simon.

"Hey.. Good morning.." She greeted him with a half smile. Simon glanced at his direction.

"Yeah, good morning." Alexander greeted the two of them without smiling.

"I've made breakfast. There's still some left for you." Amity tried to act perky, she doesn't want Simon and Alexander to have a fit early in the morning.

"Okay." Alexander answered only looking at her. "How 'bout you?"

Amity shook her head, "I've eaten already.. Simon and I had breakfast together.." She bit her lower lip. Alexander nodded his head and started to walk towards the dining area.

"Xander." Simon called Alexander who stopped walking and turned to face them. "We're going out for awhile, Jordin and I. We'll buy some groceries and stuff. You wanna come?"

Alexander turned his head and looked at his brother. He saw Amity looking at him as well, with the anticipation that he would come with them. He wanted to, but he shook his head.

"Nah, I'm staying. You guys have fun." He answered simply and left both Amity and Simon in the living area.

Simon went to shower first and Amity went to sit on the table with Alexander for awhile. "You sure you don't wanna come? We'll go to the mall and have lunch out. After that we'll buy groceries." Amity asked Alexander.

"Nope. I'm okay here. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." He gave her a reassuring smile.

"Okay." Amity pressed her lips and nodded her head.

"I'm sorry about last night. You should've not seen that." Alexander muttered not looking at her.

"I.. I don't know what's going on between you and your brother but.." Amity looked at Alexander and tried to smile. "Simon only wants the best for you.. And I hope you'll talk things out, try to listen to each other. He loves you, Xander. He's.. concerned about you."

Alexander let out a sigh, "I love him too, Jordin. But I know him very well. There's no point in talking with him, he won't listen. He already saw me fall, he would want to do it his way now. And I can't let him." He looked at her with eyes that seemingly asks a little understanding, "You don't know him that much. You don't know anything."

Alexander's words hit her, he's right. She shouldn't meddle with their issues the fact that she'd just been here for a year. Alexander had a point, she doesn't know that much. She doesn't even know about their unsettled problems.

Amity managed to nod, "Okay.. I just want you to know that I'm here. Well, if you need someone to talk to at least."

"Thanks." Alexander gave her a tiny smile. They were staring at each other when Simon went out of the bathroom. Amity excused herself from Alexander and took a turn to shower. Alexander ate silently as the two got prepared to leave. After a few minutes, Amity and Simon waved at him goodbye and he was left alone.
