She was already in front of Simon's condominium unit when she suddenly felt hesitant to open the door. She thought that maybe she should've accepted Therese's offer to stay at her place for the night, problem is, she doesn't have any spare clothes with her. She couldn't afford to borrow from Therese's and it would be embarrassing if she would have to borrow her under pants as well. After a few minutes, Amity decided to turn the knob and went inside.

It was dark and only the dining area had a light on. She listened for any signs of movement that could tell if there's someone other than her on the house but there was nothing. It was really quiet and she was relieved. She was thirsty and wanted to have a glass of water so she decided to go to the kitchen first before getting inside her room. Amity was on her way when someone spoke as she passed the living room.

"You're home.."

She stopped and turned to take a look at the person who said it only to see that it was Alexander.

"You've been gone for days.. I.. I thought something happened to you.. I thought you'd left.." Alexander told her sounding worried and the expression on his face reflected it as well. Amity looked at him with a blank stare.

I bet you wanted that to happen so badly. She thought but had kept it to herself. She doesn't want to waste her remaining energy talking to him and so she turned her back and went to the kitchen. She took a glass from the cupboard and opened the fridge to have some water. She heard Alexander followed her but had kept a distance.

"There's food on the dinner table. I've made chicken teriyaki. You can eat if you want to. It's good for two." He told her. Amity didn't respond and just finished her drinking. She took the glass in the sink, washed and returned it to the cupboard, and walked towards her room passing Alexander.

"Hey, wait. I have something that's yours." Alexander called her when they were in the living room. She was a few steps away from her bedroom door and she really wanted to go inside and lie on her bed.

Amity stopped walking and had her eyebrows creased. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat and turned her attention back towards Alexander. He held a hand and showed her something that is very familiar to her, something that glittered. She took a closer look at the thing that hangs in his hands and the familiar pendant of angel's wings came into her view. He was holding her lost necklace. Amity's breathing hardened.

"Where did you get that?" She asked looking at him accusingly.

"I.."

"You told me you haven't seen it. Or you just lied?" Her tone was stiff.

"Actually.. I.." Alexander couldn't look her in the eye. Amity knew why.

"You had it all the time.." She hissed. "Damn you.." She roughly snatched her necklace from his hand.

"I was about to--"

"No you're not." She broke him off and let out a sarcastic laugh. "This is unbelievable." She shook her head. "You took two important things from me. Two important things.." Amity looked at him with loathing, "You really have a talent you know that? You really have a talent in making other people's lives in living hell."

Alexander looked stunned. "No I don't."

"Oh yeah? Tell me, is there even a time that you've been nice to me?" She asked and Alexander looked down on the floor. "None?" Amity asked. "Well that's right. I see you're aware of that. Ever since you came here all you did was to pester me."

"But I returned you're necklace--"

"Yes you did. After you've seen me broken and looking miserable, thank you very much." She told him sharply. "And like it wasn't enough, you even destroyed my painting. Very brilliant. How nice of you." Amity added with sarcasm.

"Look, I'm sorry okay. I know what I did was awful. I just want to make up for all the things I've done wrong. I--"

Amity held up her hand. "Stop. Stop it. I don't want to listen to such trash." She told him, her voice sounded like acid. "I don't need your apologies, you can keep it." She added. "I would never forgive you, Alexander. Never will. You disgust me. And I hate you. We can never be friends. So don't bother to even speak to me ever again. Because if you do, it would be my fist hitting your jaw and you wouldn't like it." Amity threw the words at his face and meant every single word. She saw Alexander's face looked very much hurt. He's just pretending. He deserved everything you've just said.

Alexander lowered his head and couldn't utter a word. Amity felt triumphant. She turned her back and headed towards her room. Before she could go inside she heard him speak to her again.

"I'm sorry, Jordin. You may not believe that I'm saying the truth, but I really am. And it's okay for you to hate me. I know I've been a total jerk, but at least I had the chance to apologize. It's up to you to forgive me or not."

"You know what Alexander? The way you speak tells what kind of a person you are. And you know what kind are you?" Amity told him not turning her back, "You're a self-centered brat who doesn't care what other people feel. You only think about yourself. You're selfish, insensitive, and inconsiderate. I don't know how others deal with you. But as for me, I won't even try." With that she opened her door and went inside, leaving Alexander speechless.
