Amity woke up early. She had to make breakfast for Simon who will be leaving early today for his flight. He'll be gone for two weeks to close another business transaction. Simon works as a CEO for a stock exchange firm and was assigned to close a partnership deal with a certain company in London.

She stretched and went to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. She changed her pajamas with Capri shorts and a white tee, tied her long wavy hair in a bun on top of her head then went straight for the kitchen.

Amity passed Simon's room and saw his door is still closed.

"So the prince hasn't woken up yet huh," she told herself and shook her head.

Amity took out what was left on the fridge to make as breakfast. She cooked Simon's favorite egg and bacon and made french toast. She also made him a cup of brewed coffee and a glass of orange juice.

"This should do it." she happily exclaimed, hands on her hips. "But the prince hasn't woken up eh?" she looked at the wall clock facing the dining table. 5:30 am.

"He said his flight was 9 am. He'll be late." she strode towards Simon's bedroom door and knocked a few times.

A scruffy head Simon rubbing his eyes opened the door. He was wearing blue bottomed pajamas and a white Hanes shirt. His chestnut colored hair tousled one side.

"What?" he grumpily asked.

"Are you forgetting something?" Amity asked him with slitted eyes.

"Huh?" Simon looked confused, disoriented.

"What day is it?" Amit asked.

"Saturday." Simon answered, "And it's too early for you to wake me up because I don't have work today." he added surly.

"And what date is it?" Amity emphasized the word 'date' to make him remember.

Simon scoffed, "May 31st! For crying out loud!"

Amity raised her right eyebrow, "And then?"

Simon looked puzzled but all of a sudden widened his eyes and jolted. "I have a damn flight!" he shouted, "What time is it?!" he frantically searched for his towel and was about to go to the bathroom.

"15 minutes before six." Amity answered as Simon pushed past her. "Thank you! I made breakfast by the way!" she shouted on his back. She heard Simon grumbled something before entering the bathroom. Amity shook her head.

She waited for him in the dining area. After 20 minutes he was well prepared and ready. He's wearing white long sleeves and a black coat.

"Minimalist. Where's the tie?" Amity asked as he sat on one of the high chairs.

"The tie would be worn only if I will be meeting the owner of the company." Simon told her as he took a forkful of bacon in his mouth. "You know how I feel about wearing ties. It feels like I'm being strangulated."

"Well I guess that's odd considering you've been wearing those kind of clothes for how many years now because of your work." Amity was nodding her head.

Simon looked at her and pointed his fork towards her. "Don't start with me." he warned.

Amity laughed and watched him eat.

"This coffee is heavenly." Simon remarked.

"Made by yours truly." Amity gestured her hands. "Thank you."

Simon let out a chuckle. "Don't get too cocky." he smirked. "You're not eating?" he noticed and asked with creased eyebrows.

"Maybe later. After you leave. Don't worry 'bout me. Stuff yourself up. You'll need it." she smiled. She propped her head on her arms above the table.
